17 LA N settings The L AN t ab gives y ou th e opportunity to change the IP setting s o f the W LR- 1000/2000/3000. Click <Apply > at the bottom of this screen to save any changes. IP address 192.168.0 .1. It is the router’s LAN IP address (Your LAN cli ent s defa u lt gateway IP a ddress).
18 Lease Time Forever. In the Lease Time set ting you can specif y the t ime period that the DHCP lends an IP addre ss to your LAN clients . The DHCP wil l change your LAN client’s IP ad dress when this time thre shold period is reached.
19 Device Status View the Broadband router’s c urrent configuration settings. Device Status di splay s the configuration se ttings y ou’ve configured in the W i za rd / Basic Se ttings / W ir eless Settings sect ion.
20 Internet Status This page displays whether the WAN port is connected to a Cable/DSL conn ection. It also displays the router’s WAN IP a ddress, Subnet Mask, and ISP Gateway as well as MAC address, the Primary DNS. Pr ess Renew button to renew you r WAN IP address.
21 DHCP Client Statu s DHCP This page shows all DHCP clients (LAN PCs) currently connected to your network. Th e table shows the assigned I P address, MAC address and expiration time for each DHCP leased client. Use t he Refresh bu tton to update the a vailable information.
22 WLR-1000/2000/30 00 Log View the operation log of the WLR-1000/2000/30 00 . This p age shows the current system log of the Broadband router. It display s any event oc curred after system start up.

24 10 Configuration Wizard Click Wizard to conf igure the r outer. T he S etup wizard wi ll now be displa yed; check that the m odem is con necte d and cl ick Next. Select y our cou ntry from the Country l ist. Sel ect your internet provider. Click Next.

26 11 Wireless Set tings You can s et para meters that are used for the wireles s stati ons to connect to this router. The parameters incl ude Mod e, ESSID, Channel Number and Associate d Cli ent. Wi reless Fun cti on Enable or Disa ble W irel ess funct ion here.

28 A d vanced Settings This tab a llow s yo u to set the advance d wirele ss option s. The o ptions i ncluded are Authe nticati on Typ e, Fragment Thresh old , RTS T hreshold, Beacon Interval, and Preamble Type. Yo u shou ld not change these parameters unless you know w hat effe ct the chan ges wi ll have o n the router.
29 Data R ate The “Data Rate” is the rate that thi s acces s poi nt u ses to t ransmit data packets. The access po int wi l l use t he hi ghest possi ble se lected transmissi on rate to transmit the data packets.
30 Security This Acc ess Point provi des compl ete wirel ess LAN security fun ctions, i ncl uded are W EP, IEEE 802. 11x, IEEE 802. 11x with W EP, WPA with pre-shared key and WPA w ith RADIU S. With these sec urity fu nctions, you c an prevent your wirel ess LAN from ill egal acc ess.
31 WEP When you sele ct 6 4-bit or 1 28-bit WEP key, you have to ent er WEP keys to encrypt data. Yo u can generate the key by yourself and e nter it. Y ou can enter four W EP keys and s ele ct one of them as a defa ult key. Then t he router can receiv e any pack ets encrypted by one of the f our keys.
32 WP A Pre-shared Ke y Wi-Fi Protected A ccess (WPA) i s an advance d sec urity standard . You can use a pre-shared key to authent icate w irele ss statio ns and encrypt data duri ng communicati on. It uses TKIP or CCMP (A ES) to chan ge the e ncryption key frequentl y.
