Easy D VD recor ding Getting star ted 16 The following will help y ou to understand easily how to r ecord to D VD discs. Note: Mak e sure batteries are in the r emote control and y ou ha ve connected this unit and the TV correctly . Step 1 : Choose a disc type There ar e sev eral types of recordable D VD discs to choose from.

W e r ecommend that you get a vailable channels in your ar ea stored using “Auto Preset” in the Channel Preset of the SETUP menu. 26 Information on D VD recor ding Recording Information This D VD recor der can recor d to D VD-R and D VD-R W discs. When recording, you will need to select a recor ding format between Video mode and VR mode depending on the disc format. The disc format for D VD-R is alwa ys “Video format, ” so a recor ding format will be “Video mode”.
27 Recording Information on cop y contr ol Some satellite br oadcasts include copy-pr otected information. For recor ding these , refer to the fol- lowing. Making discs pla yab le in other D VD pla y er (Finalize) After recor ding, you must finalize disc in or der to pla y on any other unit.
Choosing the recor ding format of a blank disc 28 F ormatting a disc Recording When inserting a blank disc , the D VD recor der star ts to initialize the blank disc. After that, you can r ecord to the disc with the recor ding format selected in SETUP menu.

Repeat/Random/Pr ogram pla yback 52 Note • The A-B Repeat pla yback can only be set with in the cur- rent title (f or D VDs), or cur- rent track (f or Audio CDs). • T o cancel the repeat pla yback, select OFF at step 2. The repeat setting will also be cancelled when you stop pla y- back.
