10 Chapter 1 Using the Keyboard The full-sized keyboard includes an em bedded numeric keypad, sep arate cursor , lock, Windows, function and special keys. Lock keys and Embedded Numeric Keypad The keyboard has three lock keys which yo u can toggle on and off.

60 Chapter 3 Disassembly Procedure Removing the Battery Pack 1. Unlock the battery p ack. 2. Slide the battery latch, hold it then remove the battery . Removing the HDD Module 1. Release the three screws fa stening the HDD module cover . 2. Detach the HDD module cover .

72 Chapter 3 LCD Disassembly 1. Remove the eight rubber ca ps on the LCD bezel and release the eight scre ws securing the LCD bezel. 2. Detach the LCD be zel from the LCD module as shown. 3. Release the screw holding the inverter board. 4. Disconnect the inverter boa rd cables as shown and remove the inverter board.
Chapter 3 73 5. Release the four screws securing the LCD p anel. 6. Detach the LCD panel carefully and reverse it as shown. 7. T ear off the tapes holdin g the LCD panel cable carefully then disconnect the LCD pa nel. 8. Remove the antenna fr om the LCD cover .
74 Chapter 3 9. Release the four screws securing the lef t LCD bracket then remove the left LCD bracket. 10. Repeat the anterior step to remove the r ight LCD bracket.
