6 G et star ted First st eps to operati ng your phone SIM card information When you subscribe to a cellular network, you receive a plug-in SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card loaded with your subscripti on details, such as your PIN, and available optional services.
7 Get started Low battery indicator When the battery is low: • a warning tone sounds, • the battery low message displays, and • the empty b attery icon blinks. If the battery lev el becomes too low , the phone automatically turns off . R e charge your battery .

22 S tep outside the phone Quickly launch menus by number The dialing screen provides you with shortcuts to certain menus you can use wi th an entered number . With those shortcuts, you can quickly send an SMS message, set an alarm, perf orm a conve r sion/ calculation, or schedul e an appointment afte r entering a number .
23 Step outside the phone Watch the phone display on a TV Y ou can view the display of your phone on a screen by connecting the phone and TV with a TV out cable. This enables you to enjoy the photos and videos stored in the phone’ s memory with your fam ily or friend s on a larger screen.
24 S tep outside the phone Use a memory card Y ou can use a memory card to increase your phone’s capacity . • Frequent er asi ng and writing will shorten a memory card’s lifespan. • Do not re move a memor y card from the phone or turn off the phone while data is being accessed or transferred.

29 Call functions Redialing recent number s 1. In Idle mo de, press [ ] to dis play the list of recent numbers. 2. Scroll to the number you want and press [ ]. Making a call from Phonebook Once you have stored a number in Phonebook, you can dial the number by selecting it from Phonebook.
Call fun ctions 30 Using the headset Use the headset to m ake or answer calls without holding the pho ne. Connect the he adset to the jack on the right side of the phone. The button on the headset works as follows : Options during a call Y ou can access a number of functions during a ca ll.
31 Call functions Using the Speakerphone feature Use the s tereo s peakers on the fro nt of t he phone to talk and li sten with the phone a sh ort distance away . Press [ ] to ac tivate the Speakerph one feature. Press the k ey again to switch back to the earpiece.

After the private conversatio n, select Join to return bo th priv ate participants to the multi-party call. • Transfer : transfer the currently active call to a caller on hold.

Menu functions Phonebook (Menu 2) 34 • Total sent : check the t otal length of all the calls you have dialed. • Total receiv ed : check th e total length of all the calls you have received. • Reset timers : reset the call timers . Y ou need to enter the phone password.
35 Menu functions • Mark as default number : set the selected number as the default for the contact. • Print via Bluetooth : prin t the c ontact inform ation via a Bluetooth-compatible pri nter . Some printers may not be compatible with the phone.
Menu functions Phonebook (Menu 2) 36 • Email : assign an e-mail address. • Graphic I D : assign a caller ID image to alert you to a call from the perso n. • Ringtone : assign a ringtone to alert you to a call from the person. • Group : assign the number to a caller group.
37 Menu functions • Edit : change the properties of the selected group . • Send message : send an SMS, MMS, or e-mail to the memb ers yo u want. • Delete : delete the selec ted group. Gro up members, however , will not be deleted from Phonebook.
Menu functions Phonebook (Menu 2) 38 Using name card options After saving your name card, press < Option s > to access the following options: • Edit : edit th e name card. • Send via : send the name card via SMS, MMS , e-mail, or Bluetooth. • Exchange name card : exchange the name cards with another person’s name card via Bluetooth.
39 Menu functions Service number (Menu 2.9) Use this menu to view the list of Service Dialing Numbers (SDN) assigned by your service provider , including emergency numbers and numbers for directory enquiries. This menu is available if your SIM card supports SDN.

59 Menu functions Email inbox (Menu 5.2.5) This folder stores e-mails that you have received. Viewing an e-mail 1. Press < Select > when Check new mail displays to get new e-m ails from the server . The phone checks the e-mail server and downloads new e-mails.

Y ou can search for a specific word in the document by entering the word. • Send via : send the file via MMS, e-mail, or Bluetooth. • Print via : print the image by connecting the phone to a printer via Bluetooth or USB.
75 Menu functions Memory card (Menu 6.6) Use this menu to access the files stored on a memory card. This menu is shown only when a memory card is inserted into the phone. Memory status (Menu 6.7) Y ou can check the total amount of memory f or media items and the amount of memory currently in use in each media box.
