-3- 1 1 1 1 1 POWER ON-OFF/ILLUMINA TION (PWR/ILL) BUTTON Press this button t o turn the unit on or off. If t he i gn ition switch is “on”, the unit will also turn on automatically when a compact d i sc i s i nserted, or if any other switch is pressed.
4 4 4 4 4 BASS CONTROL T o adjust the bass level (Equalizer function inactive), first select the Bass mode by pressing the SEL button 3 so the BAS indication appears on the display panel. Within 5 seconds of choosing the Bass mode, press the AUDIO CONTROL 2 button to decrease the bass response, or the AUDIO CONTROL button to increase it as desired.

-7- cn cn cn cn cn P AUSE (P AU) BUTTON The Pause function is used to freeze disc play when the CD player or optional CD changer is in use. S--P AUSE will appear on the display . Press this button again to resume disc play from the point at which it was stopped and S--P AUSE will disappear.
-8- dl dl dl dl dl PRE-SET SCAN (PS) /AUTO-STORE TUNING (AS) Press this button momentarily to scan the stations pre-set into the six memories of the current band in use.

-13- WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL OPERA TION The wireless remote control supplied with this model is capable of operating most of the features of the unit from a remote location. Each button on the remote control functions in the same way as the referenced button on the main unit.
-14- PLA YING MP3 MUSIC FILES MP3 (Moving Picture Experts Group, Layer 3) are digital audio files that are compressed to about 1/10th the size of a CD recording. As a result, you can compress a CD song that has 50 megabytes of data into an MP3 that has only 4 or 5 megabytes.
