1 Guide to Components 1. Platen cover (o ption) or Doc ument Feede r (A DF) (opt ion) Lower the platen co ver over origina ls placed on the exposure glass for cop ying. If you have the document feeder, insert a stack of ori ginals here. They will be fed automatical ly.

6 Panel Display The panel dis play shows operational status, error mess ages, and function menus. Important ❒ Do not apply a strong shock or force of about 30N (about 3kgf) or m ore to the panel display. Otherwise, the display might be damaged. Note ❒ When you select or specify an item on the panel di splay, it is highlighted like .

If you cannot close the cover easily, pull out the toner cartridge from the copie r and insert it again.
