8 8 Getting star ted Dear RCA customer , Thank you for pur chasing the RCA Small W onder Camcorder . This product will let you recor d videos with high definition quality. Y ou can also manage your recor dings on your computer with the RCA Memory Manager included with this product.
9 9 3. Inser ting microSD memor y card • A microSD memory card (not included) is recommended for r ecording as the camcorder int ernal memory will only permit minutes of recording time. Lift up the cover Push the card in until a click is heard As the memory card is small in size, it is recommended to use a small coin to help insert or remove it.
10 10 5. Resetting the camcorder • T o reset the camcorder (if it is not functioning properly), slide and hold the On/Off switch for more than 10 seconds. 6. Setting date and time • It is recommended to set the date and time befor e using the camcorder .

12 Switch on Operation modes There are two basic modes f or operating the camcorder: Pr eview and Playback. The camcorder will always enter into Pr eview mode after switched on. Refer to the diagram belo w for switching between modes and read relevant sections in the user manual for detailed operations.
13 Recording quality • Slide the Video Quality selector to select the recording quality . The selected setting (HD , Spor ts or W ebQ) appears on the display screen during rec ording. Recording videos Light conditions can greatly aff ect the quality of your videos.
14 Recording videos 1. In Preview mode, pr ess the red REC ORD button to begin rec ording. Elapsed time Video recor ding indicator • While recording , the red recor ding light on the camcorder front turns on. 2. Press PLA Y/P AUSE to pause a recor ding.
15 T o take photos 1. In Preview mode, pr ess PHOT O to take photos. • The resolution of the photos is 12.0 mega pix el which is interpolated from 5 mega pix el sensor . 2. After taking photos, wait for few sec onds timeout to return to P review mode.
16 Playing back rec ordings 1. Press PLA Y/P AUSE to enter Playback mode and start playback of the most recent recor ding (video/ photo). Playback indicator Current file number/T otal number of files Elapsed playback time 2. Press + or – during pla yback to adjust volume (video only).
