2D Chart Enha ncements 7 P anor amic photos Y ou can display a pa noramic phot o(s) of many po rts and marinas. T he availabili ty of photos is i ndicated by a camera symbol on t he chart. T his symbol is pla ced where the photo was tak en and the angle o f the shot is indicated by the camera symbol.

Land masses are shown in green, the shade dependin g on the heigh t above sea l evel.

3D Cartograph y 17 Changing the view View options In active motio n mode there are four view optio ns that you can c hoose from: •F o r w a r d . •A f t . • P ort. • Starboard. With ea ch view the ey e point is changed to sh ow a differ ent area of the cha rt.

3D Cartograph y 21 Y our display han dbook gives you det ails of how to set up a page set to view the two applicat ions together . With the chart s displa yed side by side , a comprehensive view of the surroundin g area is available. As with all mult iple page sets the ac tive wi ndow is indicated by a red border .

3D Cartograph y 23 T o navigat e to a new waypoint or route, you should first create the waypoint/route in your 2D chart . Full details o f how to create a route will be found in your display handbook. Once navigati on is active , the 3D chart disp lays: • T he ac tive waypoint using the same symb ol as the 2D chart.
