A. GETTING GOING A 5 The elastic strap holds the transmitter comfortably , yet firmly , in the correct position. The transmitter detects your heart rate and transmits it to the wrist receiver . The wrist receiver displays your heart rate and cycling data during exercise.
A 6 A 7 STOP SIGNAL / LIGHT OK Signal/ Light T urns the beep on or off. T urns the backlight on. Stop Return - Stops measuring the heart rate. Exits the displayed mode and returns to the previous mode level. Returns to the T ime of day display from any mode by pressing and holding the stop button.
A 8 A 9 How to prepar e the wrist receiver 1. Since the display is blank when the receiver leaves the factory , you have to activate the wrist receiver by pressing the OK button twice, after which the T ime of day display appears. This is a one-off procedure; once you have turned on your receiver you can not turn it off anymore.
A 10 A 11 4. There are two spoke magnet options. Y ou only need to install one of them. Check which of the magnets fits the spoke of your bike best. One (A) is installed by rotating it around the spoke before putting the metal cover on, another (B) by tightening the screw .

TIME OF DA Y Y ou can use your Polar heart rate monitor as an ordinary watch with date, weekday indicator and alarm function. Y ou can also change between two different countries’ time zones.

Do not insert any objects into the openings. • Do not immerse the speed sensor in water . • Avoid har d hits to the speed sensor as these may cause damage.
H. PRECAUTIONS H 91 Detach the sensor from your bicycle. 1. Open the sensor by removing the two small screws, counter-clockwise, with a small screwdriver . 2. Lift the case off carefully . Hold the sensor cover upwards so that the PCBA (printed circuit board assembled) stays in the case.
H 93 H 92 Electromagnetic interfer ence Disturbances may occur near high voltage power lines, traffic lights, overhead lines of electric railways, electric bus lines or trams, televisions, car motors, bike computers, some motor driven exercise equipment, cellular phones or when you walk through electric security gates.
