10 Usin g the USB Cr adle Inserting the camera into the US B cradle allows the battery to be charg ed. The USB cradle also allows t he camera to be connected to external devices such as your TV f or viewing imag es or to rec ord from exter nal video sources.
11 Charging the Ba tter y Be sure to turn the power switch on the camera of f when charging the battery . 1 Slide and op en the Card/Battery Door . 2 Insert the ba ttery all the way . ≥ Confirm the direction of the battery . ≥ Be sure to ins ert the battery until fixed with the Battery Lock.

The supplied progr am, SD-Jukebox V er . 4 (supplied access ory), must be used to load these files onto the SD Memory Card. Files that are simply copied to the SD Memory Card may not playback properly or at all.

33 Adju sting W hite Balance The S D Video Camera adjusts White Balance automatically . However, depending on the scene or light condition, the Automat ic White Balance m ay not be able to bring out nat ur al colors. In such cases, the white balance can be adjusted manually .
34 Erasing th e Files Re cor ded on a Memor y Card Using SD Video Camera, you can erase files recorded on the Memory Card. After files are erased, they cannot be restored. 1 Play back the file to be erased or p ause it. ( l 23, 25 , 27 ) 2 Press the [MENU] Button.
35 Protecting Files (File P r otect ion) Precious files recorded on the Memory Card can be locked to prevent accidental erasure. 1 Play back the file to be locked or p ause it. ( l 23, 25, 27) 2 Press the [M ENU] Button. ≥ The editing menu screen appears.

54 Caut ions for Use ª About the S D Video Camera Keep this unit away from magnetized equipment (such as a microwave oven, TV , video game equipment, etc.). ≥ If you use this unit on or near a T V , images and sounds may be disturbed due to electromagnetic wave r adiation.
