OT oÉÅçê ÇáåÖ=jçíáçå=fã~ÖÉë= EjmbdOF Y ou can record motion images in high quality on the Memor y Card. Therefore , it is suitable f or recording impor tant pictures. In MPEG2 m otion imag e recording, SD Memo ry Card with the high-sp eed transmission rate of 10 MB/s is needed.
OU oÉÅç êÇá åÖ= j çí áç å=fã ~Ö Éë= EjmbdQF MPEG4 recording provides less visual quality than MPEG2 recording. It is recommended when long recording durations are needed. Since the file siz e is much smaller than MPEG2, it’ s ideal if the recording needs to b e sent as an E-mail at tachment.

QP PlayList ( MPEG2 Mode only ) Y ou can create a play list on this SD Video Camera by gathering your fa vorites from the rec orded scenes. ª Creating New P lay List (Create) Y ou can create a play list on this SD Video Camera by gathering your fa vorite MPEG2 motion images from the recorded scenes.

QS ª Changing Title of Play List (Title) Selections in the pla y list will be numbered in the order you select them. The title of pla y list can be changed at any time. QT Characte rs a vailab le f or entering title Y ou can use the ; / ∫ / 6 / 5 s ide of the Multi-funct ion Button to s elect characters from the “1 (capital letter)”, “2 (small l etter)” and “3 (symbol)” input modes. With step 3, select the input mode and then press the [ 1 SET] Butt on.
QU Program (MPEG2 Mode only) Program refers t o an assembly of scenes recorded on the same date. ª Switching to Thumbnail Display of Specific D ate (Switch) Since the scenes recorded on this SD Video Camera are collected as “programs” f or each recording date, selecting a program will all ow you to displa y only scenes from a s pecific date.
QV ª Changing Title of Pr ogram (Title) The recording date has initially been t itled to any program. Y ou can change the recording date to desired tit le. N Press the [M ENU] Button and select [Title] on [Pr ogram] and press the [ 1 SET] Button. O Select the p rogram of whic h title to be changed a nd then p ress the [ 1 SET] Button.
RM Go T o ª J ump to the fir st or last scene (T op/ End) F rom the Pla yback Mode screen, y ou can jump to the first scene or last scene. N Pr ess th e [M ENU ] Bu tto n and sel ect desired item o n [Go T o] and then pre ss the [ 1 SET] Butt on. ≥ [T op]: T o go to first scene .
RN Card ª V erifying Remaining Free Space on Card (Capacity) Y ou can find out how long you will be able to record on card. N Press the [M ENU] Button and select [Capacit y] on [Car d] an d press th e [ 1 SET] Button. ≥ [Capacity] sc reen is display ed.
RO Others ª Playing Back Scenes Rep eated ly (Repea t Play) When playbac k of the last scene is finished, play back of all scenes will rep eat from the first scene.
RP ª Information is displa yed on a screen (Displa y) The programs and s cenes recorded by SD Video Camera includes the inf or mation such as recording date/time, scene number , etc. Y ou can select the inf ormation to be display ed dur ing play back.
RQ mä~óáåÖ=_~Åâ=çå=~å=ÉñíÉêå~ä= ÇÉîáÅÉ= Using the A V Cradle, the SD Video Camera can be connected to external devices such as a monit or or home sound system. The recorded images could also be recorded t o a VCR or D VD video r ecorder .

TR kçíÉë=C=mêÉÅ~ìíáçåë ª Cautions for Use Whe n you u se your SD Vid eo C ame ra on a rainy or snowy day or on a beach, make sure that no water or moisture enters the SD Video Camera. ≥ W ater may cause the SD Video Camera or Memor y Card to malfunction.
TS After use , be sure t o take the M emory Card out and detach the Batt ery from the SD Video Camera or pull out the A C Cord from A C Main soc k et. If the Battery is used in an extremel y cold en vironment, the Battery may o nly operate for appro x.
TT Be Sure to Detach the Battery after Use Be sure to detach the Battery from the SD Video Camera. (If it i s left attached to the SD Video Camera, a minute amount of current is consum ed ev en when the SD Video Camera power is off.) If the Battery is left attached to the SD Video Camera for a long time, over discharge takes place.
TU ≥ Store the Bat tery in a completely discharged state. T o store the Batter y for a long period of time, we recommend you charge it once e v er y year and store it again after y ou completely use up the charged capacity .
TV ≥ When the SD Video Camera is turned on, do not attach or remov e the batter y , or plug the pow er cord in or out. ª Fitting the Cam era on the A V Cradle ( l 13) ≥ T o fit the SD Video Camera on the A V Cradle, t urn the SD Video Cam era [OFF].
UM ª Recor ding Moti on Images (MPEG2) ( l 27) ≥ If y ou disconnect the battery or the AC adaptor while recording MP EG2 m otion images, or if you pull out a card while the Card Access lamp [A CCESS] is lit, a message for recovery appears whe n you turn the unit on or insert a card again.
UN ≥ F a st f orward or fast backward will be reset to nor mal playbac k on the next file. ≥ In the inde x picture screen, the first frame for the pictures is displa yed. (F or ex ample, if the first f rame is painted in black as a whole, a b lack screen will be displa yed.
