8 Title Procedure CAMERA OFF VCR Using the Viewfinder Before using the Viewfinder, adjust it to your eyesight so that the indications in the Viewfinder are clear and easy to read. Before adjusting the Viewfinder, make sure that the LCD Monitor is completely closed.

16 Setting the Date and Time If you select the [DATE/TIME SETUP] Sub-Menu of the [CAMERA FUNCTIONS] Main-Menu, the menu shown below appears. Set the correct date and time before recording. For example: To set the clock to 15th October 2002, 14:30. 1 Turn the [ 34 ] Dial to set to [2002].

Be sure to keep the LCD Monitor in its vertical position, so that the Cassette Compartment Cover, when it opens, does not hit the LCD Monitor.
20 Title Procedure 4 To pause recording: Press the Recording Start/Stop Button again. The [PAUSE] Indication appears. Recording (Filming) When the [AUTO] Indication appears, you can simply turn on the Movie Camera and press the Recording Start/Stop Button to start recording, and the focus and white balance are adjusted automatically.
21 Remarks, etc. Basic Operations 5 To finish recording: Set the [CAMERA/OFF/VCR] Switch to [OFF]. ≥ If you leave the Movie Camera in the Recording Pause Mode for more than 6 minutes, it automatically switches off to protect the tape and to conserve battery power.

24 Title Procedure Enlarging Your Subject or Widening the Recording Angle (Zooming In/Out) Recording close-ups of your subjects and recording wide-angle shots adds special effects to your videos. 1 To record a wider view (Zooming-out): Push the [W/T] Zoom Lever toward [W].

Title Procedure 44 Recording with Automatic White Balance Adjustment After pressing the [PROG. AE] Button so that the [AUTO] Indication appears, it is possible to record pictures with natural colours under almost any recording condition.

Remarks, etc. 47 Advanced Operations 1 ∫ Mirror Mode When recording yourself with the LCD Monitor facing forward, the picture shown on it the way it is being recorded may be difficult to get used to. This is because we usually look at ourselves in the mirror, so we see a mirror-image and this feels more natural.

Store all equipment in a dry place where the temperature remains relatively constant. (Recommended temperature is 15°C – 25°C and recommended relative humidity is 40% – 60%.
