5. Unit can copy, but cannot transm it/recei v e long distanc e or interna tional commu nicatio ns The followin g 2 causes can be conside red for this. Cause 1: The other party is executi ng automa tic dialling , the call has been receive d b y this unit, and the CED or DIS signal response time is too long.
(Cause s and Counte rmeasu res) (Cause A) When a training signal is transmitted from FAX1 during the communication proced ure at the time of transmission from FAX1 toFAX2 , there is a delay until the echo cancele r operate s. S1 is closed so that a part of the head of the training signal may dropou t.
6. The unit can copy, but t he transm ission and recept ion image is incorrect (Long distanc e or international commu nicatio n operation) This depend s widely on the transmission and recepti on capabil ity of the other FAX unit and the line conditio ns.

The signal lines that must be normal for the system to boot up are listed here [List 1]. For signal lines other than these, even if they malfun ction they do not directly affect booting up the system .
Normal Wave Pattern s 57 KX- FT21R S.
For these reason s and the softwar e sequen ce to boot up the unit, if you use an oscillos cope to judge whethe r a signal is OK or NG, yo u must check in the same order as in [List 1]. (If the ASIC (CPU) failed to access the ROM, the ASIC cannot access the SRAM or DRAM normally.
After the power is turned on, the ASIC (CPU) initializ es and checks each IC. The ROM, SRAM, and Modem are checke d. If initializ ation fails fo r the ICs, the system will not boot up.
