1 Getting Started Some services described in this manual are network dependent or may only be available on a subscription basis. Some functions are SIM dependent. For more information contact your service provider. Inserting and removing the SIM The SIM is inserted into the back of the phone.
2 Getting Started Charging the battery Connecting and dis connecting the Fast T ravel Charger The battery must be attached in the phone before the charger is connected. Connect the charger to the mains power supply. When the phone is charging, the charging indicator will light and a scrolling icon wil l appear in the main display.

29 Settin gs Security settings The PIN protects your SIM against unaut hor ised use. If you enab le the PIN, every time the phone is switched on, you will be prompted to enter the PIN code.
30 Settings Fixed Dial Fixed Dial is a part of Conta c ts, but with added securit y. When Fixed Dial is enabled: ¾ Only numbers that are in the Fixed Dial store may be diall ed. ¾ Any manually dialled phone numb ers must match a number already in the Fixed Dial store.

32 Settings Keyguard setting Keyguard stops the ke ys from performing their normal f unction if accidentally pressed. When Keyguard is enabled, “ ” appears on the display. When a call is received, Keyguard is temporaril y disab led and you can answer the call.
33 Camera Taking a picture The camera range is 35 cm - . The minimum illumination required is 5 lux. 38 Messages MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) Your phone is designed to be compatible with cert ain Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS). You ca n send pictures an d music with text messages. The recipient can play it as a slide show. MMS messages can be sen t to another m obile phone with MMS capability or to an email address.
