9 Remote Control Install the batteries Use batteries type UM4 (AAA-Size). Do not use old or weak batteries. The remote control ma y not work pr operly with a weak voltage fr om such batteries. Replace exhausted batteries with ne w ones. Never try to recharge normal batteries - this could cause an explosion.
10 Antenna connection Note: Befor e you connect other appliances: T o avoid potentially damaging y our set, mak e sure all items are s witched off and disconnected from the mains power when y ou mak e the connections.
11 Auto setup The built-in tuner allows to r eceive TV -channels from analog cable-tv or D VB- T . If, ho we ver , you are receiving TV -channels via separate receiv er , no need to run the TV’ s auto-tuning. Just set your language here and then jump to ne xt chapter .
12 Selecting the input source Press INPUT SELEC T to view a signal from another device connected to y our TV , such as a V CR or D VD play er . Y ou can select each input source depending on which input jacks y ou used to connect your de vices. T o select the video input source, press INPUT SELECT or /.

15 Remarks on D VB- T sy stem D VB- T is at present still being dev eloped. Y ou can get information regarding the current stage of de velopment from y our specialist retailer . As a digital service DVB- T basically works differently to pr evious analogue TV reception.
16 P ass word Setup (P arental lock) P arental lock is a function of the channel provider . If it is not supported by the channel, parental lock is without function. Currently there are no channels supporting parental lock. 1 Press MENU . Select then press .
17 Resolution and picture quality Broadcast wide screen films in diff erent resolutions . The f ollowing table sho ws the resolution options f or wide screen film broadcast media.
18 Picture Size The required picture f ormat can be set by pr essing the PICTURE SIZE button. Press PICTURE SIZE until the required f ormat is display ed. Y ou move thr ough the follo wing formats when y ou press the button: Auto , 4:3, 16:9, 14:9, Cinema, Real (HDMI mode only).

On / Off Digital Subtitle Language Select pref erred subtitle language, if the current watching D TV channel has more than one subtitle language.
22 PC connection Follo w these steps: On y our PC monitor choose a resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz and sav e this configuration. Shut down your PC and connect the shut off LCD TV . Use a screensa ver to a void burning-in of static picture content. Use a PC- VGA cable (not supplied) to connect the L CD-Monitor to your PC .
23 The HDMI input receives digital audio and uncompr essed video from a HDMI equipped de vice or uncompressed digital video from a D VI equipped de vice. When you connect to a D VI de vice with a HDMI-to-D VI adapter cable, it only transf ers the video signal, so it is necessary to use separate analogue leads to transfer the audio signals .
