1. General information About your device The wireless device described in this guide is approved for use on the GSM 900 and 1800 networks. Contact your service p rovider for more information about networks.

The left selection key is Go to for you to view the function s in your personal shortcut list. When viewing the list, select Options > Select optio ns to view the available functions, or select Opt ions > Organi se to arrange the fu nctions in your shortcut li st.
Dialing shortcuts To assign a phone number to one of the number keys, 2 to 9, select Menu > Contacts > Speed d ials , scroll to a desired number, and select Assign . Enter the desired phone number, or select Search and a saved contact. To switch the speed dialing function on, select Menu > Settings > Call > Speed dialling > On .
● If the ? character is displayed after the w ord, the word you intended to write is not in the dictionary. To add the word to the dictio nary, select Spell . Enter the word using traditional text input, and select Save . ● To write compound words, enter the firs t part of the word, and press the scroll key right to confirm it.
Multimedia messages and multimedia plus messages A multimedia (MMS) message can contain text, pictures, sound clips, and video clips. A multimedia plus messa ge can also contain an y other content, even files not supported by your phone. Only devices that have compatible feat ures can receive and display multimedia messages.
Messaging and the existing e-mail account. Select Opti ons > Add mailbo x to start the e-mail setup wizard. Follow the in structions on the displa y. Write and send an e-mail To write an e-mail, select Menu > Messaging > Create message > E-mail message .
To connect to the service, select Menu > Messaging > Instant me ssages and follow the instructions on the display. Voice messages The voice mailbox is a network service to which you may need to subscribe. For more information, contact your service provider.
To select the SIM card or phon e memory for your co ntacts, to selec t how the names and numbers in contacts are displayed, and to view the free an d used memory capacity for contacts, s elect Settings . You can send and receive a pe rson's contact information as a busin ess card from a compatible device t hat supports the vCard standard.
If you select the h ighest ringing t one level, the ringing tone reac hes its highest level after a few seconds. Display Select Menu > Settings > Display . To dim the display automatically and to display a clock when the phone is not used for a certain time, select Power sav er .
Data transfer Your phone allows transfer of data (calendar, contacts da ta, and notes) with a remote internet server (network service). Synchronize from a server To use a remote inte rnet server, subscribe to a sy nchronization service. For more information and the settings required for th is service, contact your service provider.
● Connect to s ervice provider support — to do wnload the configuration settings from your service provider ● Device manager settings — to allow or prevent the phone from receiving software updates. This option may not be av ailable, depending on your phone.
To start the recording during a call, select Options > Record . When you record a call, hold the phone in the normal position near to your ear. The recording is saved in Gallery > Recordings . To listen to the late st recording, select Options > Play last recorded .
Calendar and to-do list Select Menu > Organiser > Calendar . The current day is f ramed. If there are any notes set for the day, the day is in bold. To make a calendar note, scroll to the date, and select Options > Make a note . To view the day notes, select View .
Appearance settings While browsing, select Options > Other opti ons > Appe ar. settings . Available options may include the following: ● Text wrapping — Select h ow the text i s displayed. ● Alerts — Select Alert for unsecure connection > Yes to alert when a secure connection changes to an unsecure connection wh ile browsing.

Battery information Charging and discharging Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will ev entually wear out.
