Matrox User Guide 3 Overview Thank you for pu rchasing a M atro x VD A ( Video De c oder Acc elerator) product. Y our VD A product supports concurre nt hardwar e decoding of m ultiple IP video streams (up to 16 D1 or 64 CIF) in a variet y of resolutions and encod ed formats that can be vi ewed on up to four H D monitors.

8 Matrox User Guide M ake sure the washer lies flat against the frame of your computer . Y our M at ro x cards are now installed. Before restarting your computer , conne ct your decoder and output cards and your camera inputs ( see “Connection setup ” , page 9 ).

Step-by-step connection setup 1 Connect the camera network Connect the twisted pair (netwo rk) cable from the hub of your camera input s to one of the network ports label ed Cam on your decode r ca rd.
10 Matrox User Guide 2 Connect the intra-network (twisted pair) cable Connect a twist ed pair (network ) cable from your local ar ea network to the netw ork port labeled Intra on your decoder card. 3 Connect your decoder card Connect one end of y our M atro x cable to the KX20 conn ector on your decoder card.
