W elcome Congratulations on your pur chase of the Bluefin underwater video housing. Please inspect the packaging of your pr oduct to verify that there was no damage during shipping. If you ar e not familiar with your camcorder’ s features, please tak e time to become familiar with the camcorder befor e you pr oceed in this manual.

5 Camera Pr eparation 1. Install a fully charged Son y NP-FP90 batter y . 2. Install a HD D VC tape into your camcor der . 3. If still images are desir ed, install a Memor y Stick Duo.
6 P-Menu Setup The P-Menu is a customizable menu that allo ws quick access to commonly used camera featur es.This is ver y useful underwater since controls such as White Balance can only be accessed thr ough the camera’ s menu system.

8 Mounting the Camera 1. Remov e the rear plate b y pushing the Latch Lock in and rotating the latch do wn and forward of the housing body . (Refer fig. 9) 2. Remov e the Camera T ray . A. Push forward on the Camera T ray . B. Press the Camera T ra y Release Latch down.

10 Rear Plate (Refer fig. 15) On/Mode - T urns the camcorder on and cycles thr ough modes. Housing Left Side (Refer fig. 16 and 17) Manual - Activates the camera’ s manual button. Briefly pushing this button activates manual contr ol of the active function.
11 Smooth Slo w Recording Set up the P-Menu as described in this manual under P-Men u Setup . Befor e loading the camera into the housing set the mode for the Smooth Slow Recording function to either captur e images seen by the camera before or after the Record button is pushed.
12 Lens Installation / Remo val T o Install Lens 1. Perf orm o-ring inspection. 2. Align lens to housing details. 3. Press lens into housing. 4. Rotate clockwise until Locking pin engages. T o Remove Lens 1. Slide Locking pin outward a wa y from lens.

14 Bluefin Monitor - Bulkhead Installation 1) Remov e the Rear Plate. 2) Using a flat head scre wdriver or coin, remove the P or t Plug. (Refer Fig. 16) 3) On the inside of the Rear Plate, remov e the four screws using a 3/32 allen k ey and remo ve cir cuit board.
15 Compact Monitor Operation Po wer On/Off The monitor will pow er on and off with the camcorder . Remote Monitor Operation 1) If necessar y , activate pow er to the monitor by switching the pow er switch on the inside of the Rear Plate to the ON position.
16 Charging the Remote and Compact Monitor 1) Remov e the Charging Port Plug using a coin or large flat head scre wdriver . (Refer fig. 20) 2) Plug charger into a 110v outlet. This charger is only rated at this v oltage. If you do not ha ve access to a 110v outlet, you must use a conv er ter .
17 Bluefin Light Systems - Getting Star ted Pictured belo w are the components of the Sunra y-S Mini Pro and Sunra y-S Mini Elite lighting system. T ak e a moment to familiarize yourself with each part for later identification and use.
18 Charging Ba tteries It is recommended that y ou charge your batteries when they ar e receiv ed. It is also r ecommended to charge batteries just prior to use. 1) The charger can accept an electrical range of 100 - 240v and 50 - 60hz. 2) The charger has two LED lights: Left LED: Orange when charging Li-ion batteries.
19 Mounting Battery P ods 1) Remov e the rear plate of the housing. 2) Slide the batter y pods into housing channels. 3) Insert Pod Lock er between the pods and tighten using 1/8” allen ke y . Do not ov er -tighten. Connecting Lights to Battery P ods 1) Plug in the cable connectors on the pod.

(Refer fig. 26) 3) Remov e old batteries from handle boar d. 4) Install new 1/3 N batteries into the handle boar d.
21 First Time Use All Light & Motion equipment is pressur e tested prior to shipping. Howe ver , ther e could be unseen damage due to shipping. A test dive without the camcorder in the housing is highly r ecommended. After the initial dive with just the housing, mak e the following checks: 1.
Rear Plate O-rings Smart Grip O-ring Optic O-rings 4) T o check O-rings for damage, place the O-ring betw een the index finger and thumb. Then pull the O-ring through y our fingers, feeling for an y debris or wear . 5) If O-rings are dirty , it is best to replace them.
