1 INTR ODUCTION The Boxlight 900 0 is an XGA multimedia projector designed for fixed instal lations. It allows 3 computer an d 2 video in puts, alo ng with RS- 232 cont rol. Image Res oluti on NO TE : The pr ojector automati- cally expands 640x480 and 800x600 images to fill the screen.

4 Intr oduc tion Usag e Guidelines • Do not loo k directly into the projection lens when the projector is turned on. The bright light may harm your eyes. • Do not block th e grills on t he proje ctor . Do not place the projec- tor on cloth ta ble coverings, as they may get suck ed up to the vents.
5 SETTING UP THE PR OJECTOR 1 Place the pr ojector on a flat surface. • The pr ojector must be within 7.5 feet (2.3 m) of your power source. • If you are installing the projector on the ceiling, refer to the Ceiling Mo unt Installation Guide that comes with th e Ceiling Mount Kit for mor e information.

11 Connecting a n IBM-Compatible Comp uter Using the CablePr o Lite Cable The CablePr o Lite cable pr ovides a computer connection. If you want au dio, mous e contr ol, or moni tor loop -thr ough, pur chase the optional CablePro. See “Optional Accessories” on page 47.

13 Connecting a Computer Us ing a VESA c able The supplied VESA cable con nects to the High Densi ty 15-pin connector (HD 15 ) on the projector . This input is designated Computer 2. 1 Plug one end of the VESA cable into the video connector on your computer .

15 4 Plug the A/V cable’s white connector into the left “audio o ut” port on your video player . Plug the cable’s red connector into the right “audio ou t” port on the video player . CA UT I ON : Y our video play er may also have a “Video Out” po r t for a c oaxial cable connection.
16 Setti ng up the Pr ojector Connecting the Rem ote Control Cable If the pr ojector cannot r eceive the r emote’s signal, as may be the case if you’re using rear pr ojection, conn ect the remote dir ectly to the projector with the remote cable. 19 USING THE PR OJECTOR This section d escribes how to us e and make adjustments to the pro jector . It also provides a refer ence to the remote and keypad buttons and the opti ons available from the on-screen menus. Basic Imag e Ad justment 1 Make sure you have powered up your equipment in the right or der (page 16) .

24 Usin g the Projector Scri bble The scribbl e button acti vates on-screen annotation. 1 Pres s the scr ibble button. The cursor changes to a pencil. 2 Press the right disk mouse button (Fig ur e 20 on page 25) to display the color selector . Use the disk mouse to position the cursor on the desir ed color , then press the left mouse button.

But if the projected computer image looks fuzzy or streaked, try turning Auto I mage of f then back on agai n. 37 Replacing the Pr ojection Lamp WA R N I N G : T o avoid burns , allow the p rojector to cool f or at least 30 minutes before you open the lamp module door . Never extr act the lamp module w hile the lamp is oper ating. The projector is designed so you can easily ch ange the projection lamp.
