Basics 24 1 Setting Non-standard Size Originals When cop ying from non-standard size orig inals, enter the original size so that copy is w ell ali gn ed. Limitation ❒ You must s et your non- standard s ize original s on t he exposure glas s. Reference For the standar d sizes the m a ch in e can detect, ⇒ P.
Setting Non-standard S ize O riginal s 25 1 D Enter the v er tical origi nal size with the num ber keys, then press the > or { # } key . Note ❒ To c h ang e the value entered, press the { Cle a r/S to p } key and enter the new value. E Enter the hor iz ontal original size w ith the number key s, then press the [ OK ] key.
Basics 26 1 Removing the Platen Cover to Copy a Large Original You can re m o ve the pla ten cover to copy a large (mo re than A3, 11" × 17" ) orig- inal. Note ❒ You cannot re m ove t he do c ument feeder. To rem ove t h e plat en cover, lift it out.

Copying 30 2 Aut o color sel ection mode The machine automatically detects whether the origin a l has color p art s or not. Originals containing only black imag es will b e copied in Black mod e. Originals with some color areas w ill be copied in Full Color mode.
