C650 1-1 Overview 1 1O v e r v i e w 1.1 Using PageScope Web Connection PageScope Web Connecti on is a device ma nagement uti lity supported by the HTTP server integrated into the printer controller. Using a Web browser on a compu ter connected to the network, machine settings can be specified and the statu s of the machine can be ch ecked.

C650 1-5 Overview 1 1.2 Logging on an d logging off Logon and logo ut operations When the machine is accessed wi th PageScope Web Conn ection, the logon page appears if user authentication and account tra ck settings have been specified on the machine.
C650 1-6 Overview 1 When user authentication and acco unt track settings are specified Log on again as an admini strator. The User Authenticat ion/Account Track screen appe ars. Enter the required infor mation to log on. To log on as a differ ent user or an administra tor, log off.

C650 1-9 Overview 1 Logging on as a registered user If user authentication settings have been specified on the machine, th e name and password for a registered user is required to log on. In the logon page, enter th e user name and the password, and then click the [Login] button.
C650 1-10 Overview 1 Logging on to Ad ministrator mode In order to specify system and network settings, log on t o Administrator mode. In the l ogon page, select "Administrator" and then click the [Login] button, ente r the administrator password, and then c lick the [OK] button.
C650 1-11 Overview 1 2 Reminder If "Prohibited Functions When Authenticati on Error" in Administrator mode is set to "Mode 2" and an incorrect password is entere d the specified number of times , it is no longer possible to log on to Administrator mode.
C650 2-1 User mode 2 2 User mode The User mode provides functions for checking and operating th e machine on a us er level. You can se lect from five tabs (Information, Job, Box, Direct Print, an d Store Address).
C650 2-2 User mode 2 ! Detail If "HTML" was selected as the di splay format during logon, the [Det ail] button appears under "Paper Tray". Select a paper tray and cli ck the [Detail] button to view detail ed information about the select ed paper tray.

C650 2-4 User mode 2 Online Assistance Support information for the machine can be displayed. Change User Password The password for the user who is logged on can b e changed. ! C650 2-6 User mode 2 Network Setting Information Network settings for the machine can be displayed. Print Setting Inform ation Settings for the printer controller of the ma chine can be displayed. A print job sent with no settings specified is printed with these settings.
C650 2-7 User mode 2 Print Information Font and settings information can be pr inted. Select the report to be printed, select a p aper tray from the "Paper Tray" list, a nd then click the [OK] button. 2 Note It may not be possible to print report s while the machine is processing a job.
C650 2-8 User mode 2 2.2 Job tab On the Job tab, the jobs managed by the machine are di splayed. The display of th e J ob tab differs depending on the display format selected during logon. Current Jobs The jobs being performed and the jobs queued to be performed can b e viewed.
C650 2-9 User mode 2 Job History The completed jobs can be viewed. Select a job type, and the n click the [Go] button. Select from the following job types. * Appears if fax oper ations are availabl e. Sample page of print jobs - The number assigned to the job when it was qu eued in the machine appears a s the job number.
C650 2-10 User mode 2 Communication List The completed transmission and reception jobs can be viewed. Se lect a job type, and then click the [Go] button.
C650 2-11 User mode 2 2.3 Box tab From the Box tab, user boxes can be created for use with the User Box mode or user box settings can be changed. In addition, documents in us er boxes can be printed, sent or downloaded. For details on the various user boxes and User Box mode functions, re fer to the User’s Guide [B ox Operations].
C650 2-12 User mode 2 ! Detail When the name of a user box is clicked, a page for entering the password appears if a password has been specified for the box.

C650 3-1 Administrator mode 3 3 Administrator mode In Administrator mode, you can specify system setting s for the machine. You can select from six tabs (Maintenance, Security, Box, Print Setting, Store Address, and Network) .
C650 3-2 Administrator mode 3 ROM Version The ROM version is displayed. Import/Export Machine settings can be saved as a file (exported), or settings can be written to the machi ne (imported). Select the information to be impo rted/exported, and then click the [Import] button or [Exoport] button.
C650 3-3 Administrator mode 3 2 Reminder The data in the exported files cannot be edited. When e-mail destina tions with certificate s are expo rted and imported, the certi ficate information must be registered again after im porting. Only exporting is possible when "Audit Log" or "Counter" i s selected.
C650 3-4 Administrator mode 3 Status Notification Setting Specify settings for sending a notifi cation if a machine err or occurred. Settings can be specified for the destination of error notifica tions and the occasions when notifications are sent. Item Description Destination Displays the type of notificatio n addr ess.

Item Description Total Counter Notification Set- ting Type in the name of the model to appear in the li st (up to 20 characters).
C650 3-7 Administrator mode 3 Machine Setting The registered machine information ca n be changed. Online Assistance Specify the support information for the machine. To display this information, click the Information tab in User mode, and then click "On line Assistance" in the me nu.

C650 3-10 Administrator mode 3 Timer Setting - Weekly Timer Setting Specify the weekly timer settings for the machine. Network TWAIN Specify the length of time until the machine’s operatio ns are automatically unlock ed during scanning (except with PUSH sc anning).
C650 3-11 Administrator mode 3 2 Note If optional image control ler IC-409 has been installed, this para meter is not available. Reset - Network Setting Clear The machine’s network settings can be reset to those specified when the machine was shippe d from the factory.
C650 3-12 Administrator mode 3 Reset - Reset The printer controll er can be re set. Click the [Reset] button to perform the operation. Reset - Format A ll Destination All destinations registere d on the machine can be erased. Click the [Format] button to perform the operati on.

Header/Footer R egistration The list of headers/footers can be displayed, and they can be registered or edi ted. Item Description Save Document To send scanned data to external memory, select "ON" .

C650 3-24 Administrator mode 3 2 Note The page contents differ dependin g on the registered informat ion. If a certifica te is not insta lled, the follow ing page appears. Creating a certificate or obt aining the format from a ce rtification authority and installing it enables SSL /TLS.

C650 3-29 Administrator mode 3 Specifying an encryption level setting 1 On the SSL/TLS Setting page, select "Set an E ncryption Strength", and then click the [OK] butt on. 2 Select the encryption leve l, and then click the [OK] button. The following encrypt ion level settings are available.
