21 CON FE R EN CE G U ID E SETT I NG S When a mu lti-par ty call is goi ng to be connected, a specia l signa l (ash or R-pu lse) i s produced whic h transmits the comma nd (req ues t, return a nd conference ) to the PBX. It may be neces sar y to change the type of signa l if cal ls are connected via a PBX.
