10 A-61578 September 2006 Inst allation Procedures Follow the instructions for inst alling the 1394a (FireWire) card and the Kodak Driver Software bef ore you connect the scanner to the host computer . If you want, Kodak Service will install the 1 394a (FireWire card) in the host computer .
A-61578 September 2006 11 Inst alling the FireWire cable A six-pin connector is provided on the rear p anel of the scanner for FireWire connectivity . 1. Plug the end of the cable with the r ight angle into the scanner . 2. Connect the other end of the cable into the 1394a card outlet in the host computer .
