4 Introduction Your new digital projector is simple to co nnect, easy to use, and straightforward to maintain. It is a versatile projector th at is flexible enough for bu siness presentations and home video viewi ng too. IN3128HD has native 1920 x 1080 resolution.

6 Positioning the projector To determine where to position the projector, co nsider the size and shape of your screen, the location of your power outlets, and the distance between the projector and the rest of your equipmen t. He re are some general guidelines: • Position the project or on a flat surface at a right angle t o the screen.
7 Connecting a computer source VGA connection Connect one end of the provided computer cable to the Computer 1/Computer 2 connector on the projector and the other to the VGA connecto r on your computer. If you are using a desktop computer, you will need to disconnect the monitor cable from the computer’s video port first.
8 Displaying an image Press the Power button. The Power LED lights blue, and the fans start to run. When the lamp come s on, the start up screen displays. It can take up to a minute for the image to achieve full brightness. No start up screen? Get help on page 12.
9 Adjusting the image If necessary, adjust the height o f the projector by pressin g the elevator foo t release button to extend the foot. If necessary, rotate the leveling feet located at the rear of the projector. Position the projector the desired distance from the screen at a 90 degree angl e to the screen.
10 Connecting a video device You can connect v ideo devices s uch as VCRs, DVD players, camcorders, digital cameras, video gam e consoles, HDTV receivers, and TV tu ners to the projector.
11 Shutting down the projector Auto Off Time The projector also has an Auto Off Time feature that automati cally turns the projector off after no active sources are de tected and no user interactio n with the projector is performed for 30 minutes. By default, this feature is off.

19 Using the remote control The remote uses two (2) AAA batteries (not provided). They are easily installed by removing the cover from the remote’s back, aligning the + and - ends of the batteries, sliding them in to place, and then replacing the cover.
20 Using the audio Using the projector’s speakers Connect the audi o source to the Audio 1, Audio 2 or Audio L/R connectors to hear audio throu gh the projector speake rs. You may use the projector’s speake rs by connecting a microphone to the Microphone input conne ctor.
21 Using the keypad buttons Most buttons are descri bed in detail in oth er section s, but here is an ov erview of their functions: Power –turns the projector on and off (page 8). Auto –resynchronize the projector to the source. Menu –opens the onscreen menus (p age 24).
22 Optimizing computer images After the projector is running and the image is on the screen, you can optimize the image using the onscreen menu s. For general information on usin g the menus, see page 24. • Select default image settings using a preset appropriate to your environme nt.
23 Optimizing video images After your video d evice is connec ted properly and the image is on t he screen, you can optimize the image using the onscreen menu s. For general information on using the menus, see page 24. • Adjust the Keystone, Contrast, Brightness, Co lor, or Tint ( page 25 ).
24 Using the menus 1 To open the menus, press the Menu button on the keypad or remote. (The menus automatically cl ose after 60 second s if no buttons are pressed.) Use the arrow buttons to move up and down to review the menu options. 2 To enter a submenu, highlight the de sired submenu and press Enter on the keypad or remote.
25 Basic Menu To adjust the following setti ngs, highlight the set ting, use the right and left arrows to adjust the values. Aspect Ratio : Aspect ratio is the ratio of the image width to image height. TV screens are usually 4:3. HDTV and most DVDs are 16:9.

29 Controlling the projector through a LAN environment The projector support s Crestron ® software. With correct settin gs for the Network menu, you can manage the projector from a computer using a web browser when the compu ter and the projector are properly connected to th e same local area network.
30 Wireless connection To connect to the projector wirelessly, yo u have to plug an InFocus wireless dongle (optional) to the USB Type A connector on the projector, and th en only a few OSD configuration steps are required. 1 Make sure the pro jector is turned on.

If you forge t the password, please go to Advanced Menu > Setup > Network > Network Restart to restore the password to the default code.

34 Displaying images through ifPresenter Downloading and installing ifPresenter The ifPresenter is an application which can run on the host PC. It helps connect your computer to an available network pr ojector and transfer the desktop con tent to the network projecto r via local net work connection.
35 4 The Basic Setting page allo ws you to configure ifPre senter. i. To change the ifPresen ter interface la nguage, click the down arrow to reveal a drop-down list and select a desired language .
36 6 You can manage the connected p rojectors listed under Device Management. • Under a conference mode: 1 Only the administrator can take control. 2 A projector can display up to 4 computer screens. • You can set the name of your com puter under ifPresenter Management.
37 Displaying pictures with a USB storage device The projector has a built-i n application which can display images from a USB storage device. It can elim inate t he need fo r a comput er sourc e.

39 Maintenance Cleaning the lens 1 Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a soft, dry cloth. • Projector must be off and the lens must be at room temperature. • Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner, and don’t apply the cleaner directly to the lens.
40 Replacing the projection lamp The Lamp Hours timer in the Projector Info me nu counts the number of hours the lamp has been in use. Twenty ho urs before the lamp life expire s, the message “Replace lamp” displays on the scree n at startup. • NOTE : Be sure to us e the InFocus lamp module designed for this projector.
41 1 Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. 2 Wait 60 minutes to allow the projector to coo l thoroughly. 3 Remove the lamp door, located on top of the projector, by removing the screws on either side of the lamp door, sliding the door forward, and lifting the lamp door off.
