Installation 3 Installing a SIM Card Install a SIM card as shown in t he following diagram. Installing and Re moving a microSD Card Your phone's memory capacity can be expanded by installing a microSD card. For i nstallation inst ructions, refer to the following diagram.
Installation 4 Charging th e Battery 1. Connect your charger to the USB cable provided. 2. Connect the charger to a power outlet. 3. Connect the phone to the USB cable. The battery will now start charging. While the battery is charging, t he status indicator shows the battery level or chargi ng status.
Installation 5 Import ant Infor mation About the Batt ery • If the phone has not been used for a long time, or the battery is fully depleted, you may not be able to power on your phone immediately aft er you commence charging the battery. Allow the battery to charge for a few minutes with the phone powered off before attempting to use the phone.
Installation 6 • Touch Display > Brightness to lower the screen brightness, and touch Sleep to shorten the peri od until the screen locks. • Close applicati ons that are no longer in use.
Getting Started 7 Getting Started Powering Your Phone On or Off • W hen your phone is off, press and hold to power it on. If your SIM card is protected by a PIN, you must enter it to use the phone. • When your phone is on, press and hold to display the options menu.

Getting Started 19 Managing Fol ders on the Ho me Screen • To create a folder: Drag an application ic on onto another application icon to create a new folder t hat contains both icons. • To rename a folder: On the Home screen, touch a folder, and then t ouch the folder name field beneat h it.
Calling 20 Calling To make a call, you can manually enter phone numbers on the dialer, t ouch a number in your cont acts list or call log, or use voice control . During a call, you can choose to keep the current call on hol d to answer an incoming call, forward the i ncoming call to your voi cemail, or start a conference call.
Calling 21 Using Voic e Dialing Calls can be placed using voice dialing. When you open the voice dialing appl ication, your phone's speak er will be enabled. Background no ise will affect the accuracy of vo ice dialing. 1. On the Home screen, touch > Voice Dialer .
Calling 22 • Reject the call and send a text message to the caller: Drag upwards. • On the Phone screen, touch > Settings > Quick responses to edit the message that will be sent . Operations During a Call During an active call , you can touch any of the f ollowing buttons: • : Ends the call.

Contacts 24 Contacts People enables you to save and manage contacts on your phone, including such detai ls as your contacts' phone numbers and addresses. On the Home screen, touch > People to open People . Creating a Contact 1. In the contacts l ist, touch .

Contacts 27 Joining Contacts To avoid duplicate contacts in your lis t, join two or more contacts together to form a si ngle contact. Note that contacts stored in the SIM card cannot be joined. 1. From the contacts list, touch a contact you want to join.
Contacts 28 location to whic h the .vcf fil e of your contacts will be exported. 3. Touch OK to export your phone's cont acts to the storage device. By default, the file exported will be saved in the root direc tory of your phone's memory. To change the default storage location, go to Settings > Storage > Default storage location .

Data Connection 41 Sharing Your Phone's Data Connection To share your phone's data connection wi th a PC, connect your phone to the PC using a USB cable. You can also turn your phone into a port able Wi-Fi hotspot and share your phone's data connection with a number of devices at the same time.

Maps 55 Maps Maps enables you to find your current location, view real-time traffic conditions (depending on avail ability in your area), and get detailed di rections to your destinations. You can view satellite im ages, traffic maps, or other kinds of maps of your current or other locations.

Music Player 66 Music Player With a built-in music player, your phone enables you to play your favorite songs at any time. Opening the Media Library On the Home screen touch > Music+ to access your media library.
