To connect the printer to a Ma cintosh com puter, you need a USB comp liant in terfac e cable .

We recommend using HP designed inkjet paper f or the best output quality. For example, if you are printing a photo, be sure to print on HP Premi um Plus Ph oto P aper for pho to-quality results.

The printer prints on the f ace-down side of the paper in the pap er tray; the printed document fac es up in the OUT tray.

2 15 getting to know your printer tools menu Acce ss the Tools menu from the Tools button. The Tools menu options allow you to change the printer settings from the C ontrol panel.

F or example, if you se lect a 4 x 6 inch ( 10 2 x 15 2 mm ) photo size, th e printer will crop the photo to that size by me asuring from the center of the photo.

Photos pr inted in Sepia print in brown tones an d look similar to photos produced i n the early 1900s.

3 25 printing without a computer Your HP PhotoSmar t 1215/1115 color pri nter allows you to pr int directly from a memory card or us e infrared without being connected to a computer. You can use the C o ntrol panel to choose photos on a memo ry card or send a file or photo s from an infrared (I R) device.
