Y ou can substantially increase the life expectancy of your monitor b y using a screen sav er program and turning off the monitor when not in use. ■ Unplug your monito r from the wall outlet before cleaning.

Dust the monitor b y wiping the screen and the cabinet with a soft, clean cloth. If the screen requires additional cleaning, use a clean cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
User’s Gu ide 3–1 3 Setting Up the Moni tor T o set up the monitor , ensure that the power is turned of f to the monitor , computer system, and other attached devices, then follo w these steps: 1. Place the monitor in a con ven ient, well-ventilated location near your compute r .

Operating the Monit or User’s Gu ide 4–7 Adjustin g Sc reen Qualit y Allo w the monitor to warm up fo r 20 minutes before performing the following procedures. The Auto-adjustment feature auto matical ly fine-tunes the image quality each time a ne w video mode is utilized.
4–8 User’s Guide Operating the Monitor ✎ When adjusting the Clock and Cloc k Phase values, if the monitor images become distorted, contin ue adjusting the v a lues until the distortion disappears. T o restore the factory settings, select Y es from the Factory Reset menu in the on-screen display .

This monitor automatically recognizes these preset modes and they will appear properly sized and centered on the screen.
