M a ke sure the stack of m edia aligns with the ri gh t and back edges of the tray, and does not spill o ve r the edges. 5 Press the buttons of the media guides a nd slide the gui des to the edges of t he loaded m edia.

If t he printer contains an HP Jetdirect pri nt server, you can configure basic networking paramet ers using the EIO menu.

However, if the appe arance o f your pri nted pa ges indicates t hat the printheads are misaligned , you can align them manually.

EN WW Maintaining the printheads 65 6 Carefully remove any ink from the contact pads on the printhead using a dry c ott on swab or a s oft, dry, l int- free cloth t hat will not come apart or leave fibers be hind. CAUTION O nly wipe the contac t pads.
66 6 - Maintaining and troubleshooting ENWW Calibratin g the color Whenev er you replac e a printhead, the printer automatically calibrates the co lors t o ensure the best print quality. If you are not satisfied with the appearance of the colors, you c an calibrate colo rs m anu ally .
