Loading Clock and Remote Contr ol Batteries 16 This swit ch turns the camcorder on and off. Set the switch to C AM for camera recording , and to VIDEO for play back. Hold dow n the small red button as y ou slide the swit ch to CAM or VID EO. You do not need to hold dow n the red button to slide the switch to OFF.

Inserting and Rem oving Cass ettes 22 Using a Car B a ttery The camcorder can be pow ered w ith a car battery by using an optional car battery cord (Hitachi VM-CC80A) to plug the camcor der into the car's ci garette li ghter socket.
