Getting Started 15 View finder Bright, Color and Tint Control (only for VM-E310A ) This small "BRIGH T", "COLOR" and "TINT" controls are set at the factory and shoul d requir e no adjustment. If they ever require adj ustment, use a plastic screw driver.

Getting Started 19 Loading Batteries Install the batteries to pr event mispl acing them. Date/Title Battery 1. Pull out the battery holder. 2. Insert the date/title batter y w ith the "+" terminal facing up. 3. Fully insert the battery holder into the camcorder .
Getting Started 20 Note: Replace the batteries wi th 3V micro lithi um cells such as Max well CR2025 or its equiv alent. Note: Dispose of battery safely in accor dance with local laws. D o not dispose of in fire. Note: Do not short circuit the batteri es.

Inserting and Remov ing Cassettes A power source m ust be connected before inserting or removi ng cassettes. Once connected cassettes can be inserted or r emoved whether the CAM /OFF/VIDEO switch is on or off.

Protecting Recorded Material Protect 8mm cassettes from accidental erasur e by sli ding the tab on the side of the cassette towards the opposi te side until the tab is compl etely v isible.

Be careful that your hand or hair does not touch them. W hen the DC camera light is on, avoid subjecti ng the camera li ght to impacts or sharp vibr ations.
