Since camera/recor der has a dual timer feature, if you go abroad to a country with a time difference, you can also r ecord the time at the site together.

QUICK EDIT (EDIT SEARCH) 48 QUICK EDIT (EDIT SEARCH) The quick edit feature allow s you to search for the end of previ ously recorded materi al, or find a particular spot on your tape, to begin y our editing, or r ecording new material. TIME REMAINING 54 T I M E R E M A I N I N G W hen the linear time counter is pr esent in the viewfinder , pressing "DISPLAY" button again w ill change the display to a read-out showing the amount of recording or playback time left on the tape.
SELF TI MER 55 SELF TIMER The self timer allow s you to automatically start recording after about ten seconds. Press "SELF TIMER/TIME LAPSE" button once w hile in the record/pause mode. The "SELF 30REC 0:10" appears in the view finder.
TIME LAPSE RECO RDING 56 TIME LA PSE RECORDING This function is conveni ent to record the blooming of flowers, etc. as it star ts and stops recording at a predetermined interv al. For exampl e, this f unction allows recor ding for one second after a pause of 30 seconds and repeats this procedur e.
TIME LAPSE RECO RDING 57 • The interval time can be changed any time (even during time-lapse recording ) by pressing "SELF TIMER/TIME LAPSE" button. • If "MAN" is selected for the inter val ti me, one shot recording can be done.
ONE SHOT RECORDING 58 ONE SHOT RECORDING This function is used to produce an animated v ideo. W ith one shot r e cording a few frames are recorded ev ery time the record star t/stop button is pressed. Shoot a dol, etc., whil e moving it sli ghtly betw een shots to produce an animated video of your ow n.
INDEX SIGNAL RECORDING 59 INDEX SIGNA L RECORDING Indexing your tapes whil e recording makes it easy to find desired prog ram segments when y ou play back the tape in a VCR that has a compati ble index ing feature called the "VHS Index Sear ch System".

FORW ARD AND REVERSE SEARCH 74 FORWA RD AND REVERSE SEA RCH W hen you press "F.FW D" or "REW " button during playback, the tape w ill be played back at a speed about 3 times faster than normal play back speed, and you can easily locate a certain spot on the tape.
MEMORY 75 MEMORY W hen the tape counter with memory indication appears in the v iewfinder, a tape that is being r ewound automatic ally stops when the counter reads approximately "0:00:00".
