15 Cooking guide BAKING F or best results when baking, always pre heat y our oven. The halo will turn from red to white when the preset temperature is r eached. Do not open the door until at least ¾ of the way through cooking. Make sure cake pans do not touch each other or the sides of the oven.
16 Cooking guide GRILLING This is a healthier alternative t o fr ying. Always grill with the ov en door completely shut. If you use glass or ceramic pans, be sure they can withstand the high t emperatures of the grill. T o avoid piercing the meat and letting juices escape , use tongs or a spatula to turn the meat halfway through cooking.
17 Oven functions upper outer and lower elements Heat comes from both the upper and low er elements. The fan is not used in this function. Ideal for cakes and foods that r equire baking for a long time or at low temperatures . This function is not suitable for multi-shelf cooking.
18 Oven functions upper inner element Intense radiant heat is delivered fr om the inner top element. There are 9 st eps between ‘Lo ’ and ‘Hi’ (100% power). Preheating is not essential although some people pr efer to allow the element to heat f or a few minutes befor e they place food under the grill.
19 Oven functions upper inner and outer elements Intense radiant heat is delivered fr om both top elements. There ar e 9 steps between ‘Lo’ and ‘H i’ (100% power). Preheating is not essential although some people pr efer to allow the element to heat f or a few minutes befor e they place food under the grill.
20 Oven functions fan plus lower element The fan circulates heat fr om the lower element throughout the ov en. Excellent f or cooking pizza as it crisps the base beautifully without overcooking the topping. Ideal for foods such as sweet and savoury pastry foods and delicate foods that require some top browning eg frittata, quiche.
21 Oven functions this is not a cooking function Pro vides a constant low heat of less than 90°C. Use to keep cooked f ood hot, or to warm plates and serving dishes.
22 Cooking Char ts The recommendations in the f ollowing charts are guidelines. A lot of factors affect the exact time and temperature requir ed for baking, roasting and grilling . Follo w the instructions in your recipe or on packaging and be prepared to adjust the ov en settings and cook times to achieve the best possible results for y ou.

29 Cooking Char ts Roasting meat W e recommend you use the cooking probe to ac curately judge when meat is cooked to your prefer ence. ‘ Time per pound/450 g’ is a rough guide and should only be used to estimate when the meat will be ready . Cooking with Roast , Fan Bak e , and F an Grill will take less time than with Bake .
30 Aut omatic cooking Y ou can set the oven(s) to automatically turn on lat er , cook for a pr eset time (cooking time), then automatically turn off at a preset stop time .
31 Aut omatic cooking 3 Check the clock shows the correct time of day . N O I T C N U F E R U T A R E P M E T 5a Press the right scr oll button to set the cooking time. Make sure you allo w for preheat time in y our calculation. 5b Press the select button to confirm.
32 Aut omatic cooking Set the stop time 6a Press the right scr oll button to scroll to the stop time indicator . 6b Press the select button to confirm. The display will flash. 7a Press the right scr oll button to set the time you would like y our food to be ready by (ie the stop time).
33 Aut omatic cooking Double oven models only: T o set automatic cooking for the second oven - pr ess the UPPER or L OWER selector button to select the second oven and repeat steps 1-7 abo ve. When automatic c ooking is set The oven and the lights will sta y off, the halos will be unlit, but y our oven is now set f or automatic cooking.
34 Using the meat pr obe Using the meat pr obe Use your meat probe t o accurately judge when your meat is perfectly cooked. Y ou can use the probe with any function. Double oven models only: you can use the meat probe in either o ven. Press the UPPER or L OWER selector button to select the oven you wish to use and then f ollow the steps below .
35 Using the meat pr obe Tips f or using the meat probe Y ou can still use the timer when the meat probe is in use. Y ou cannot use the meat probe with Automatic c ooking. The internal temperatur e of the meat will continue to rise by 2-8°C after you hav e removed it from the oven, so allo w for this in your calculations .
36 User pr eferenc e settings Y ou can set your oven t o: display the temperature in deg rees Celsius or F ahrenheit give audio feedback (t ones and beeps) or operate quietly display time as 12-hr or 24-hr operate with the display off have its lights on or off during cooking operate in Sabbath setting (see ‘Sabbath setting’ following).
37 User pr eferenc e settings 5 Press the right scr oll button to scroll through the options for that particular setting. Ref er to the table below . 6a Press the select button to save the new option . 6b F or all options except ‘Display off ’ : press the cancel button to quit the user prefer ence menu.
38 Sabbath setting This setting is designed for r eligious faiths that observe a ‘no work’ requirement on the Sabbath. While your o ven is in Sabbath setting The display , dial halos and indicators will be unlit, the buttons will be unresponsive. No tones or beeps will sound.
39 Sabbath setting 7 Press the select button to activate. The display , indicators and dial halos will be unlit and unresponsive, but the ov en will be on until the time set elapses or you quit Sabbath setting. T o quit Sabbath setting Press and hold the canc el button until the time of da y appears in the display and the oven(s) turn off .
40 Removing and replacing the sliding shelv es and side racks 1 T o remove a sliding shelf , grip it by its two front corners (making sure you are gripping the wire shelf and the sliding frame together), tilt upwards and pull it out of the o ven.

42 Manual cleaning Car e and cleaning AL W A YS NEVER Before any manual cleaning or maintenance, first w ait for the oven to c ool down to a safe temperature to touch, then turn its power supply off at the w all. Read these cleaning instructions and the ‘Safet y and warnings’ section before you start cleaning your oven.
43 Manual cleaning Car e and cleaning What? How ? Impor tant! Dials Clean with a solution of mild detergent and hot water , then wipe dr y. Do not use stainless steel or oven cleaner on the dials, as doing so may damage their coating.

Clean after ever y use to avoid contamination. Do not wash in the dishw asher , immerse in soapy water , use oven cleaner or leave in the oven during a Self Clean cycle.
45 Using the Self Clean function During the pyrolytic Self Clean cycle the extremely high temperature burns off and breaks do wn grime and grease deposits . All that is left is a small amount of grey ash that you can easily remov e. There is a choice of Self Clean cycles: - Self Clean ( 5 hours ) (for normal soiling).
46 Using the Self Clean function T o star t a Self Clean c ycle 1a Remove ov en shelves, side racks and all other acc essories, bakeware, and ut ensils. 1b Wipe up an y spills. F ailure to do so ma y discolour the oven surfaces. 1c Check the inner glass pane of the oven door .
47 Using the Self Clean function 3 Select the Self Clean func tion. The display will flash 0 : 00 4 Press the right scr oll button once for the Self Clean cycle - the display will flash 5 : 00 (5 hour.

50 T roubleshooting Problem P ossible causes What t o do General I can feel hot air blowing out of the vents after I have turned the o ven off . This is normal. F or safety reasons the cooling fans will continue to run even when you hav e turned the function dial to ‘Off ’ .

Call C ustomer Care . The automatic c ooking indicators do not light up OR The meat pr obe indicator does not light up .
52 T roubleshooting Problem P ossible causes What t o do Self Clean function During a Self Clean cycle, the ov en is louder than usual. This is normal: the oven ’ s cooling fans operate at their highest speed . The display sho ws - - The meat probe mode has been selected but the meat probe is not plugged in to the socket.
53 Problem P ossible causes What t o do Self Clean function I have canc elled a Self Clean cycle but cannot use the oven: the oven door will not op en the display is still counting down minutes or showing 0 : 00 the S elf Clean function indicator is still lit the temperature indicator show s cascading bars the dials and buttons are unresponsiv e.
54 Aler t codes If there is a problem, the oven will: automatically suspend all oven functions beep five times display an alert code. Impor tant! Do not turn off the mains power supply to the oven (w all switch) if you get an alert code, unless the instructions in the char t following specifically instruct you to .
55 Aler t codes Alert code Possible causes What to do The oven has o verheated. 1 Allow the oven t o cool down. 2 Once the oven has c ooled down and the door has unlocked, the alert code will disappear . Y ou can now use the oven again. A Door lock error: the door cannot be locked after you have started a Self Clean cycle.
56 W arranty and ser vice Before y ou call for service or assistance ... Check the things you can do yourself . Refer to the installation instructions and your user guide and check that: 1 your product is correctly installed. 2 you are familiar with its normal operation.
