15 The cooking zones become red when turned on full . Whenever a cooking zone is turned on, the ‘Cooking zone On ’ indicator light will glow. When a cooking zone is turned off , the ‘Hot sur face ’ indicator light will glow until the glass becomes cool enough to be saf ely touched.
16 Cooking guidelines Cookware Use heavy-gauge, flat, smooth-based cookware that matches the diameter of the cooking zone. This will provide good c ontact with the glass and help reduce cooking times. L ow heat or slow cooking is often due to incorrect cookware size.
