The follow ing table lists a guideline for pape r tray ca pacity f or various ty pes and siz es of Epson paper: * You ca n load 50 s heets if the temperature i s from 59 to 7 3.
34 34 | Handling Paper and Ot her Media Follow these steps to load cut sh eets in the pap er tray: 1. Make sure the pr inter is turne d on, then pres s the Pa per Source button until the sheet icon appears on th e LCD display. 2. Extend the p aper tray and pape r tray cover .
35 Handling Paper a nd Other Media | 35 4. Flip up th e paper guide ro ller and slide the edge guide all the way t o the left. 5. Clea n the inside of the p aper tray to remove any dust. Dust may affect printo ut qual ity. 6. Thumb through a stack of paper, then gently tap it on a flat surface to even the edges.
36 36 | Handling Paper and Ot her Media Make sure the s tack of paper fi ts under the arr ow on the left edge guide. 8. Adjust the edge guide and length of the paper tray. If you’re printing on letter-size paper, raise the paper guide and push it against the end o f the paper stac k.

Exte nd the pap er tray co ver if necessary to support your pr intouts. Note: Make sure the rol l paper s upport on the paper tray cov er is not raised.
38 38 | Handling Paper and Ot her Media Using the Front Manual Feed Slot If you want to print on posterboard or other media 31 to 59 mil (0.8 to 1.5 mm) thick, you need to use the manual feed slot.

If the pape r is loaded for printing , push the pap er lever ba ck to the released position, then roll up the pa per before r emoving it .
48 48 | Handling Paper and Ot her Media To remove the adapters, pres s on the four tabs. Cutting Paper Manually with the Built -in Cutter When you’re not us ing the auto cut setting, you need to c ut the paper manually by pressing the button after your print job is finished.
49 Handling Paper a nd Other Media | 49 Printing Trim Lines You can pri nt trim lines on the ri ght edge of your pages (if you’re using auto cut) or on the right and botto m edge (if you’re not us ing auto cut). Fo llow these steps: 1. Press the Menu button.

If you’ve selected a non-standard platen gap, the letter N or W appears on the display to remind you of the narrow or w ide setting.

102 102 | Maintaining and Transporting the Pr inter Running a Power Cl eaning Cycle You can run a power cleaning cycle from the control panel if the normal cleaning p roces s is not sufficient to clear the nozzle s. However, the powe r cycle uses a large quantity of ink, so it is recommended only as a last resort.
