Connecting to a Computer for HDMI Video and Audio If your computer has an HDMI port, you can connect it to the projector using an optional HDMI cable. Note: To connect a Mac that includes only a Thunderbolt port or Mini-DVI port for video output, you need to obtain an adapter that allows you to connect to the projector's HDMI port.
2. Connect the other end to the projector's DisplayPort connector. Note: If you have problems hearing audio through the DisplayPort connection, you can use the Audio3 port instead to play sound.
Connecting to a Computer for Sound If your computer presentation includes sound and you did not connect it to the projector's DisplayPort or HDMI port, you can still play sound through the projector's speaker system (PowerLite Pro G6070W/G6170/G6270W/G6470WU/G6570WU/G6770WU).
Connecting to an HDMI Video Source If your video source has an HDMI port, you can connect it to the projector using an optional HDMI cable. The HDMI connection provides the best image quality. 1. Connect the HDMI cable to your video source's HDMI output port.

Registering Digital Certificates from a Web Browser You can register the digital certificates on the projector for wireless LAN authentication. 1. Make sure your digital certificate file is compatible with projector registration. 2. Make sure the projector is turned on.
7. Click the Browse button, select the certificate file, and click Open . 8. Enter a password in the Password box. 9. Click Set to adjust the certificate validity period. 10. When you finish registering the certificate, click Apply to finalize your changes and complete the registration.

Setting Up Monitoring Using SNMP Network administrators can install SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) software on network computers so they can monitor projectors. If your network uses this software, you can set up the projector for SNMP monitoring.

Selecting the Language for the Projector Menus If you want to view the projector's menus and messages in another language, you can change the Language setting. 1. Turn on the projector. 2. Press the Menu button. 3. Select the Extended menu and press Enter .

Setting the Screen Type Adjusting the Image Position Using Lens Shift If you cannot install the projector directly in front of the screen, you can adjust the position of the projected image using the lens shift feature.
3. Turn the vertical and horizontal lens shift dials on the projector to adjust the position of the projected image as necessary. Note: You can move the image within the ranges shown below. You cannot move the image to both the horizontal and vertical maximum values.

3. If the image is tilted, rotate the rear feet to adjust their height. If the projected image is unevenly rectangular, you need to adjust the image shape.
Correcting Image Shape with H/V Keystone You can use the projector's H/V Keystone setting to correct the shape of an image that is unevenly rectangular on the sides. Note: For the best results, make sure the Lens Type setting in the projector's Extended menu is set correctly before making any keystone adjustments.
3. Select the Settings menu and press Enter . 4. Select the Geometric Correction setting and press Enter . 5. Select the H/V-Keystone setting and press Enter .
6. Use the arrow buttons on the projector or the remote control to select between vertical and horizontal keystone correction and to adjust the image shape as necessary. V-Keystone H-Keystone 7. When you are finished, press Esc . After correction, your image is slightly smaller.
Correcting Image Shape with Quick Corner You can use the projector's Quick Corner setting to correct the shape and size of an image that is unevenly rectangular on all sides. 1. Turn on the projector and display an image. Note: You can display a pattern to aid in adjusting the projected image using the Settings menu.
4. Select the Geometric Correction setting and press Enter . 5. Select the Quick Corner setting and press Enter . Then press Enter again. You see the Quick Corner adjustment screen: Note: To reset your adjustments, press the Esc button for at least 2 seconds to display a reset screen, and select Yes .

Correcting Image Shape with Curved Surface You can use the projector's Curved Surface setting to adjust the shape of an image projected on a curved surface (PowerLite Pro G6870/G6970WU).
3. Select the Settings menu and press Enter . 4. Select the Geometric Correction setting and press Enter . 5. Select the Curved Surface setting and press Enter . Note: If you see a confirmation message, press Enter . You see this screen: 6. Select the Correct Shape setting and press Enter .
7. Use the arrow buttons on the projector or the remote control to select the area you want to adjust. Then press Enter . Note: To reset your adjustments, press the Esc button for at least 2 seconds to display a reset screen, and select Yes . 8. Use the arrow buttons on the projector to adjust the image shape.
9. Press the Esc button to return to the Curved Surface menu screen. 10. Repeat the previous three steps as necessary to adjust other image areas. If the image expands or contracts, continue with the next step to adjust the linearity.

10. Adjust the projector's position and use the lens shift option to center the image over the point where the two surfaces meet. (The rest of these steps show Horizontal Corner as the selected Corner Type but the steps are the same for Vertical Corner.
11. Use the arrow buttons on the projector or the remote control to select the area you want to adjust. Then press Enter . • For horizontal corners, adjust the top area using the lowest point (indicated by the blue arrow) as your reference. Adjust the lower area using the highest point (indicated by the pink arrow) as your reference.
Note: To reset your adjustments, press the Esc button for at least 2 seconds to display a reset screen, and select Yes . 12. Press and hold the arrow buttons on the projector or remote control to adjust the image shape. 13. Repeat the previous two steps as necessary to adjust other image areas.
