Getting Star ted Hardware Both your desktop/laptop and y our P ocket PC m ust be turned on. The cradle/cable for your mobile de vice must be connected to y our desktop/laptop computer thr ough either the USB or Ser ial port.
Uninstalling Pr e vious V ersions If you ha ve been using an earlier version of P ocket CoPilot it will be necessary for you to Uninstall the Application and its Data before Installing Pock et CoPilot 3.0. NO TE: When uninstalling P ocket CoPilot, y our GPS receiv er cannot be attached.

Perfect for situations in which traffic has suddenly slow ed ahead of you, the Detour F eature will generate an alternate route and tell y ou exactly how m uch distance the new r oute will add to your trip.

Pock et CoPilot on Y our Desktop/Laptop Menus and Toolbar Icons In order to download str eet-lev el data it is necessary to work on your desktop/laptop computer as shown in the Data Download and Selection sections of this manual.

T roub leshooting Why can't I get a satellite reading the first time I use Pocket CoPilot? The first time the GPS receiv er is used it ma y tak e appro ximately 5 minutes to acquire a signal (but ma y take as long as 15 minutes). Once initialized, the unit should acquire satellite signals in 40 seconds or less in the futur e.
Using Help Files Pock et CoPilot provides extensive Help Files, available on your desktop/la ptop , to guide you thr ough the program as y ou use it. Click on the Help button in any window to open a Help topic that describes how to use that window .
