Page 3 18954-2-0107 W ARNING When used without adequate combustion and ventilation air , heater may give off CARBON MONOXIDE, an odorless, poisonous gas. Do not install heater until all necessary provisions are made for combustion and ventilation air .
Page 4 18954-2-0107 Some people cannot smell well. Some people cannot smell the odor of the chemical put into the gas. Y ou must find out if you can smell the odorant in propane. Smoking can decrease your ability to smell. Being around an odor for a time can affect your sensitivity or ability to detect that odor .
Page 5 18954-2-0107 Attention: During initial use of log you will detect an odor as the log is cured. Notice: During initial firing of this unit, its paint will bake out, and smoke will occur . T o prevent triggering of smoke alarms, ventilate the room in which the unit is installed.

Page 15 18954-2-0107 LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. STOP! Read the safety information. 2. Make sure the manual shutoff valve is fully open. 3. This hea ter is equippe d with an ignit ion devi ce (piez o) which automatically lights the pilot. 4. Refer to Figure 15 for the location of the piezo ignitor and control knob.
Page 16 18954-2-0107 Figures 16 and 19 show a correct pilot flame pattern. The correct flame will be blue and will extend beyond the thermocouple. The flame will surround the thermocouple just below the tip. A slight yellow flame may occur where the pilot flame and main burn er flame meet.
Page 17 18954-2-0107 Annual inspection and cleaning by your dealer or qualified service technician is recommended to prevent malfunction and/or sooting. TURN OFF HEA TER AND ALLOW TO COOL BEFORE CLEANING. Remove logs, handling carefully by holding gently at each end.
