9 | ENGLISH 4.0 Mounting a SATA hard disk (EM7 485) The following step s describe how to install a S ATA hard dis k into the media play er. The EM7485 use s a hard disk lo cking mechanis m which make s it very easy to mount a hard disk.
10 | ENGLISH 5.0 Connecting th e media play er 1. Connect the HDM I cable to the HDMI connec tion of the EM74 80/EM 7485 and connect the other side of the HDM I cable to a fre e HDMI conne ction on you r television.

Using thi s USB 3.0 slave connection, copyin g data w ill be done with incred ible speed. The highest possible transfer rate w ill be achieved if yo ur computer a lso has a U SB 3.
18 | ENGLISH Important infor mation: Since the media play er is intended to be used as a media play er with strea ming capabilities, the tran sfer rate w hen copying data using your network is not comparable to your computer.
19 | ENGLISH 8.4 Copying fi les using ‘File Manager’ The media play er also has its ow n copy function . Using this func tion, it is possible to copy from USB dev ices, your netw ork and SD cards to the hard disk of the media player.
20 | ENGLISH 8.5 Copying fi les using FTP The EM7480/EM7 485 has a FTP server. The FTP server is available if an internal hard disk, USB s tick or USB ha rd disk is conn ected to the EM7480/EM 7485. We recommend to u se a FTP progra m such as ‘FileZi lla’.
21 | ENGLISH 3. If you want a libra ry of database to be created , you need to set the ‘M edia Library’ to ‘On’. 4. Howeve r, the default setting is ‘Off’. Please note: When ‘Media Libr ary’ is set to ‘ On’, the library or database will be created during a restar t.

25 | ENGLISH 10.4 Playing DVD The media play er is able to play D VD files and DVD ISO’s. DVD files made by y ourself can be played w ithout any pro blems. Also, the EM748 has full DVD menu support . The EM7480/E M7485 does not play comm ercial DVD’ s which have CSS se curity.
26 | ENGLISH 1. Start the movie yo u want to dow nload the subtitles from. 2. Press the ‘Menu ’ button on the re mote. 3. Select ‘Subtitle’ and press ‘OK’.

You will have to install a U PnP media server on your computer to add th is functiona lity. When using M edia Player 11, you can use the built-in UPnP media service of this program.
