3 General Safety W arnings • DO NO T allow y oung children to use the gas cooker . • DO NO T touch surf aces when they are hot. • DO NO T use the cooker as a heater . • DO NO T spra y aerosols near the cooker . • DO NO T store flammable materials in or under the cooker .

Baking • With conv entional ov en models heat comes from the burner below the f ood (see diagram opposite). • The b urner is controlled by the ther mostat which sets the ov en temperature. • There is a v ariation in temperature between the bottom and the top of the ov en.
8 Using the Oven Fan Baking (F an forced o ven models) • With f an forced o v ens, heat comes from b ur ner below the f ood (see diagram opposite). • The f an circulates the hot air and so the temperature is more e v en throughout the ov en.

11 Using the Grill Grilling • The grill works by directing heat onto the f ood. (see diagram opposite). • The grill is suitable f or tender cuts of meat, steak chops, sausages, fish, toasted cheese and other f oods which cook quickly .

Using the Timer and Cloc k Using the 60 minute ringer timer T o set the timer : 1. T urn the knob to the required number of minutes (see diagram opposite). NB: F or times below 15 min utes, turn the knob past fifteen and then tur n bac k to the number of minutes.
14 Safety W arnings about cleaning • AL W A YS make sure that the cook er is tur ned off before cleaning. • AL W A YS clean cooker immediately after use . • DO NO T use steam cleaners. These ma y cause moisture build-up . • DO NO T use caustic based cleaners.

16 Cleaning the Cooker Cleaning the Oven Door Removing the o ven door The ov en door can be removed f or easy cleaning. 1. Open the door fully . 2. T urn the two stirrups forward so that the y fit with the hooks on the hinge ar ms (see diag ram opposite).
17 Cleaning the Cooker Cleaning the Oven Compar tment Removing the o ven shelves 1. Slide the ov en shelves to wards you until the y reach the front stop . 2. Tilt them up at the front to clear the side suppor ts and lift them clear (see diagram opposite).
18 Solving Pr oblems If you ha ve a prob lem with the ov en or the grill, check the table belo w . Y ou ma y be able to solve the prob lem and this will sav e you from pa ying for a service call. Y ou will ha v e to pa y f or a ser vice call ev en in the warranty period if the problem is one listed in the table .

21 Installing the Cooker Gas connection Read these points bef ore connecting to the gas supply: • The cook er inlet connection point is the inlet to the regulator or LP test point adaptor . This connects to the fle xible hose fitted to the appliance .
22 T esting the Operation of the Cooker NO TE: Y ou MUST test the cook er after installation, bef ore y ou hand it ov er to the customer . Y ou MUST hav e a manometer and a connecting tube. Checking gas suppl y 1. Check the manometer z ero point is correct.
23 If supply pressure is above 1.20 kP a , then follo w these instr uctions: 1. T urn all the bur ners to maximum. 2. Adjust the screw so that the test point pressure reads 0.85 kP a and tighten the nut slightly . 3. T urn the smallest bur ner to minimum and turn all the other burners off.
