20 1.2 Getting started 1.2.1 Set - up Inserting or removi ng the SIM card You must insert y our SIM c a rd to ma ke phone c alls. Please power off your phone and remove battery befo re inserting or re moving the SIM c ard.

22 Charging the battery Connect t he battery charge r to your phone a nd mains soc ket res pectively. When using your telephone for the first time, charge the battery fully (approximately 2.5 hours). The chargin g status bar will not float if your battery is extend ly consumed.
23 Set up your phone for the first ti me The first time you power on the phone, you should set the following options: Touch Get started ..., then select the phone' s language. The device will search for ser vice by itself. The p rocess of activation will take a few minutes.

31 1.3.4 Lock/Unlock your screen To p rotect your phone an d privacy, you can lock the phone screen by choosing slide or creating a variety of patterns, Face Unlock, PIN, password or palm locking etc.
32 To unlock phone screen Press the power key once to light up the screen, draw the unlock pattern you have created o r enter PIN o r password to unlock the screen. If you ha ve c hosen Slide as t he scr een lock, to uch and drag d own the i con to unlock the screen.
33 Reposition Touch and hold the item to b e repositioned to activate the Move mode, drag the item to the desired position and then release. You can move items both on the Home screen and the Favorite tray. Hold the icon on the left or right edge of the screen to drag the item to another Home screen.
34 Consult recently-u sed applicatio ns To con sult recently-used applicatio ns, you can touch the Recent apps key. Touch a thumbnail in the window to open the related application. Touch one thumbnail and s lide it to the left or right to delete it. You can also touch and hold the app a nd touch Remove from li st to delete it.

To connect to the internet with this phone, you can use G PRS/EDG E/3G networks or Wi-Fi, w hichever is mo st convenie nt. 6.1 Connecti ng to the Internet 6.1.1 GPRS/EDGE/3G The first tim e you turn on your phone with SIM card inserted, it will automatically configure network service: GPRS, EDGE or 3G.
80 6.1.2 Wi - Fi Using Wi- Fi, you can connect to the Internet when your phone is within range of a wireless network. Wi -Fi can be used on your phone even without a SIM c ard inserted. To turn Wi-Fi on and connect to a wireless netw ork Drag down notification pane l and touch to access Sett ings .
