- 9 - A. Connecting y our TV The unit can be connected to your TV in se v eral diff erent w ays , depending on the design of your TV . Notes: • Connect the unit directly to your TV . If y ou connect the unit through a VCR, the pla ybac k picture will be distorted because D V D discs are copy protected.
- 10 - Some TVs or monitors are equipped with component video inputs. Progressive output (D VD) Some TVs or monitors are equipped with Component Video inputs that are capab le of reproducing a progressiv ely scanned video signal. Attention: Make sure y our TV supports progressive scan component video signal.
- 11 - CONNECTIONS B. Connecting a VCR W atching a videotape 1. T u rn on the unit. Use the FUNCTION button on the remote control or the front panel to select "A V IN". 2. T urn on your TV and f ollow the instructions included with it to select the VIDEO function which corresponds to the VIDEO IN jac k that is connected to the main unit.

- 13 - CONNECTIONS Plugging in the Unit • Ensure all the components and speakers are connected correctly . • Be sure the AC pow er cord is disconnected and all functions are off before making connections . • When you are not going to use the unit for a long period of time, disconnect the po wer cord.

- 17 - Y ou can pla y a specifi c title or chapter repeatedly . (Title repeat, chapter repeat, A-B repeat) (D VD) Repeating a Chapter Y ou can pla y the same chapter repeatedly . 1. While the disc is pla ying, press the REPEA T DISC b utton until the “ ” indicator displays on the screen.

Press the MEMOR Y b utton on the remote control. 2. Use the or button to select the title you w ant, then press the OK button on the remote control to confi rm.
- 19 - When playing CD/JPEG discs , you can modify the Pla y Modes through the T oolkit which appears on the right side of the window . Press the or button on the remote control to navigate between the left/right windows and the or button on the remote control to select fi les/trac ks or play mode items .
- 20 - CUST OMIZING THE FUNCTION SETTINGS A udio 1. Press the SETUP button. 2. Press the or to select Audio . 3. Press the button, then press the or button to select desired option (Subwoof er , T est tones , Digital Output or Channels). 4. Press the button, then press the or button to be adjusted, press the OK button.
- 21 - RADIO OPERA TION 1. Press the FUNCTION button to select RADIO . 2. Press the ST OP button on the front panel or the B AND b utton on the remote control to select FM or MW . 3. Press the TUNING buttons on the remote to tune in to a desired station.
- 22 - Cleaning the Disc A defectiv e or soiled disc inserted into the unit can cause sound to drop out dur ing pla ybac k. Handle the disc by holding its inner and outer edges . • Do NO T touch the surf ace of the unlabeled side of the disc. • Do NO T stick paper or tape on the surf ace .
