Generality 1.1 1. GENERALITY This operating manual describes the installation procedures and the main features of the Tintoretto ISDN modem family: Tintoretto external (PC or Macintosh), T intoretto internal ISA card (PC) and T intoretto PCMCIA (PC or Macintosh).
Installation 2.1 2. INST ALLA TION 2.1. HARDW ARE INSTALLA TION 2.1.1. TINTORETT O EXTERNAL See the following picture to connect your modem to the COM port of your PC and the ISDN cable to the BRI socket. See the following picture to connect your modem to the GEO port of your Macintosh and the ISDN cable to the BRI socket.
2.2 Installation 2.1.3. INTORETT O PC-CARD PCMCIA The T intoretto PC Card is compliant with any PCMCIA 2.0 socket.Insert the card in the PCMCIA slot of your computer the correct way up. The way up sign is on the modem sticker . Connect the ISDN cable to the external line inerface of Tintoretto.
Installation 2.3 3. From the window Install New Modem put a tick in the box “Don’t detect my modem: I will select it from a list” and select the button: Next.
2.4 Installation 5. Insert the Floppy disk or the CD ROM in the appropriate drive and from the window : Install from disk check that the correct driver letter appears showing where your Floppy/CD ROM is inserted (eg. A or D), then click the button OK.

3.12 Description &S C107 (DSR) control Establish how the C107 (DSR) will operate. &S0 C107 (DSR) is always ON. &S1 C107 (DSR) function as standard; DSR is ON when the connection is established and will be OFF when Tintoretto hangs-up. 3.14 Description *M MultiSubscriber Number function (MSN) The MultiSubscriber Number permits the association of maximum 8 consecutive numbers to a BRI access of the national plan number . There’s a principal number with the last digit always equal to “0” and associated with it is an auxiliary number that may vary between “1” and “7”.

Diagnostic 4.1 4. DIAGNOSTIC 4.1. DIAGNOSTIC ACTIV A TION FOR PC CARD VERSION If T intoretto is turned off and on, starts automatically the internal self test diagnostic to understand particular problem before the normal function.
