Operation 3-9 Placing the UPS in Opera te Mode The Compaq 3000 Series UPS may be placed in Operate mode if either of the followi ng cond itions ap ply: ■ The UPS is powered up and in Standby mode (L.

Operation 3-11 Initiati ng a Self-test To initiate a self-test, press the TEST/ALARM RESET button and hold fo r three seconds. The UPS acknowledges compliance with five beeps.
3-12 Compaq 3000 Series UPS Operation and Reference Guide Audio Alarm The UPS may sound an audio alarm to warn the user that an alarm condition exists. IMPORTANT: Certain audio alarms can be dis abled. See Chap ter 4, “Con figuration,” for more informa tion.
