OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS SAFETY INFORMATIO N Read carefully & keep for future reference. • The safety of Your appliance complies with the industry standards and with legal re - quirements on the safety of appliances. Howeve r, as manufacturers, we feel it is our duty to provide the following safety notes.
• All packing and transit bolts must be removed before use. Serious damage can occur to the product and to property if this is not adhered to. See relevant section in the user manual.
• Make sure that children or pets do not climb inside the drum. To prevent children or pets becoming trapped inside the drum the ma - chine incorporates a special feature. To acti - vate this device, rotate the button (without pressing it) inside the door clockwise until the groove is horizontal.
Detergent dispenser drawer Compartment for prewash phase or stain re - mover. The prewash detergent is added at the beginning of the wash programme. The stain remover is added during the STA IN-Ac - tion phas e in the main wash. Compartment for powder or liquid detergent used for main wash .
Indicator pilot lights (7) After having pressed the button 5 , the WASHI NG pilot light ( 7.1 ) comes on. When the pilot light 7.1 comes on this means that the machine is operating. When the programme has finished, the END pilot light ( 7.2 ) comes on.
1. Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops. Measure out the amount of de - tergent required, pour it into the main wash compartment and, if you wish to carry out the prewash phase or to perform the stain function, pour the detergent or the stain remover into the compa rtme nt mark ed .
Press the button 2 repeatedly to change the spin speed, if you want your laundry to be spun at a speed different from the one proposed by the washing machine. The relevant light will light up. RINSE HOLD : by selecting this option the water of the last ri nse is not emptied out to pre - vent the fabrics from creasing.
You must select this option after you have set the programme and before you press the butto n 5 . You can cancel the delay time at any moment, before you press the button 5 .
After closing the door, it is necessary to select the programme and options again and to press button 5 . At the end of the programme The machine stops automatically. The pilot light of button 5 and pilot light 7.1 go off. The phase light 7.2 goes on.

HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS Sorting out the laundry Follow the wash code symbols on each g arment label and the manufacturer’s washing in - structions. Sort the laundry as follows: whites, coloureds, synthetics, delicates, wooll ens. Before loading the laundry Never wash whites and coloureds together.
The choice of detergent will depend on the type of fabric (delicates, woollens, cottons, etc.), the colour, washing temperature and degree of soiling. All commonly available washing machine detergents.
Maintenance wash With the use of low temperature washes it is possible to get a buil d up of residues inside the drum. We recommend that a maintenance wash be performed on a regular basis. To run a maintenance wash: • The drum should be empty of laundry.

7. When no more water comes out, un - screw the pump cover by turning it an - ti-clockwise and remove the filter. Use pliers, if necessary. Always keep a rag nearby to dry up any water spillages when removing the cover. Clean the filter under a tap, to remove any traces of fluff.
Cleaning the w ater inlet filters If the appliance doesn't fill, it takes a long time to fill with water, the starting button blinks yellow or the display (if available) shows the relevant alarm (see chapter "What to do if... " for more details), check if the water inlet filters are blocked .
Emergency emptying out If the water is not discharged, proceed as follows to empty out the machine: 1. pull out the plug from the power socket; 2. close the water tap; 3. if necessary, wait until the water has cooled down; 4. open the pump door; 5. place a bowl on the floor and place the end of the emergency emptying hose into the bowl.
• 2 flashes = «The machine does not empty and/or does not spin» , follow the corre - sponding suggestions in «Possible cause/Solutions» box and restart the programme. Once the problem has been eliminated, press the button 5 to restart the programme.

Problem Possible cause/Solution The door will not open: The programme is still running. • Wait the end of washing cycle. The door lock has not bee n released. • Wait a fe w minutes. There is wate r in the drum. • Select drain or spin programme to empty out the water.
