St ep 1: Mount the Magnetic Mount An tenna Mount the Magnetic Mount Ant enna on the outside of y our vehicle , on a horizont al surfac e that will alw ays f ace the sky .
15 Recommended Antenna Locations TIP: When mounting the Magnetic Mount Ant enna, be sure that the ar ea is clean and dry by using the Alcohol Pr ep Pad. A void locating the an tenna near other ant ennas (i.e . GPS, C ellular , or AM/ FM) as well as r oof r ack or other items that can ob struct the view t o the satellite s.

Recommended Antenna Cable Routing T uck the antenna cable under the rubber molding ar ound the fron t windshield to the near est corner .
17 around the door opening. Lift the w eather stripping fr om the opening and tuck the cable inside it , then replac e the weather s tripping. Run the cable inside o f the weather stripping to the bo ttom o f the door opening. Hide the antenna wir e inside the cabin.

25 Option 3: Power Connect Ins tallation Instructions 1 Y ou’ll firs t need to find an a vailable FM channel. An av ailable FM channel is one that’ s not being used b y an FM radio s tation in your ar ea. When you tune y our FM r adio to an av ailable channel, you should only hear s tatic or silence – no t talk or music.
26 3 Set your Snap t o tr ansmit on the same FM channel that you ha ve select ed in step 2: a. Pres s FM on the top of Snap . Th e FM icon will be display ed on the scr een to indicat e Snap is in the FM mode. b. T urn the Rot ary knob to select the av ailable FM channel you chose in st ep 2.

35 Scanning Channels in a C ategory Y ou can sc an a cat egory and listen t o each channel for 10 s econds bef ore Snap aut omatically tunes t o the next channel. To scan a category: 1 Pre ss the Pre vious or Next Cat egory butt on until the desired c ategory is displa yed.

39 Set A udio Lev el The audio le vel of Snap c an be adjusted when an audio c onnection is made betw een Snap and the vehicle ’ s ster eo syst em . Audio le vel is used t o adjust Snap ’ s volume le vel to mat ch the volume o f other audio sour ces y ou may use , such as a CD player , other FM stations, or an MP3 pla yer .
40 A uto Shut Of f Snap will automatic ally shut off aft er 6 hours o f inactivity , i.e ., when no butt ons have been pr ess ed or the rot ary knob has not been turned. This feat ure pr ev ents the vehicle bat tery fr om being dischar ged if you f orget to turn y our Snap off .
