12 You can move Spotlight or Pointer of the projector with the remote control unit to emphasize a part of the projected image. Press the POINTER button on the remote control unit to display the Spotlight or Pointer (Arrow, Finger or Dot) you have selected.
13 Pa rt Names and Functions This projector has eight different remote control codes (Code 1-Code 8); the factory-set, initial code (Code 1) and the other seven codes (Code 2 to Code 8). This switching function prevents remote control interference when operating several projectors or video equipment at the same time.
14 Pa rt Names and Functions To insure safe operation, please observe the following precautions : ● Use (2) AA, UM3 or LR06 type alkaline batteries. ● Replace two batteries at the same time. ● Do not use a new battery with a used battery. ● Avoid contact with water or liquid.
15 sta at o Projection angle can be adjusted up to 11.9 degrees with the adjustable feet. Lift the front of the projector and pull upward the feet lock latches on both sides of the projector. 1 Adjustable Feet Feet Lock Latches Release the feet lock latches to lock the adjustable feet and rotate the adjustable feet to adjust the position and tilt.
16 Installation This projector uses nominal input voltages of 100-120 V or 200-240 V AC. This projector automatically selects the correct input voltage. It is designed to work with single-phase power systems having a grounded neutral conductor. To reduce risk of electrical shock, do not plug into any other type of power system.

20 Connect the projector's AC power cord into an AC outlet. The POWER indicator blinks red in a moment and lights red. Press the POWER button on the top control or on the remote control unit. The POWER indicator turns green lighting and the cooling fans start to operate.
21 Basic Operation as c Ope at o Press the POWER button on the top control or on the remote control unit, and a message "Power off?" appears on the screen. Press the POWER button again to turn off the projector. The POWER indicator starts to blink red, and it continues while the cooling fans are operating for about 90 seconds.

24 Press the FREEZE button on the remote control unit to freeze the picture on the screen. To cancel the FREEZE function, press the FREEZE button again. (p11) If a projected picture has keystone distortion, correct the image with KEYSTONE adjustment. Basic Operation • The arrows are blue when there is no correction.

26 Choose either Computer 1 or Computer 2 by pressing the INPUT button on the top control or press the COMPUTER button on the remote control unit. Before using these buttons, correct input source should be selected through menu operation as described below.
27 Co pute put Computer Input The Auto PC Adjustment function operates to adjust the projector. PC System Menu The PC System Menu icon displays the system being selected. The systems on this dialog box can be selected. Press the MENU button and the On-Screen Menu will appear.
28 Computer Input Auto PC Adjustment function is provided to automatically adjust Fine sync, Total dots, Horizontal, and Vertical to conform to your computer. Auto PC Adjustment function can be operated as follows. Move the red frame pointer to the Auto PC Adj.
29 Co pute put Computer Input Some computers employ special signal formats which may not be tuned by Multi-scan system of this projector. Manual PC Adjustment enables you to precisely adjust several parameters to match those signal formats. The projector has 5 independent memory areas to memorize those parameters manually adjusted.
30 Computer Input Select the resolution at the Display area dialog box. Display area Adjusts the horizontal area displayed by this projector. Press the Point 7 8 button to decrease/increase value and then press the SET button. Display area H Adjusts the vertical area displayed by this projector.

Press the Point 7 8 button to move the red frame pointer to the Setting Menu icon. 1 2 Language The language used in the On-Screen Menu is available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Russian, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese.
42 Setting Capture This function enables you to capture the image being projected and use it for a starting-up display or interval of presentations. After capturing the projected image, go to the Logo function and set it to “User”. Then the captured image can be displayed when turning on the projector next time or pressing the NO SHOW button.
43 Setting Power management Time left until Lamp off Press the SET button at Power management and this box appears. Choose one of three settings with the Point 7 8 button, and go to the timer with the Point e e d d button and set time with the Point 7 8 button.
44 Setting Remote control This projector provides eight different remote control codes (Code 1-Code 8);the factory-set, initial code(Code1) and the other seven codes (Code 2 to Code 8). This switching function prevents remote control interference when operating several projectors or video equipment at the same time.
45 Setting PIN code lock This function prevents the projector from being operated by others except specific users and provides the following settings for your options. Off ...............the projector is not locked with the PIN code. On1 .............
46 Setting This function is used to reset the lamp replace counter. When replacing the projection lamp, reset the lamp replace counter by using this function.
47 The WARNING indicator shows the state of the function which protects the projector. Check the state of the WARNING indicator and the POWER indicator to take proper maintenance. W ARNING LAMP REPLACE POWER KEY STONE O L + WARNING blinking red TOP CONTROL Wa r n i ng Indicator The projector is shut down and the WARNING indicator is blinking red.
48 Maintenance and Cleaning Air Filter Pull up and remove. Turn off the projector, and disconnect the AC power cord from the AC outlet. Turn the projector upside down and remove the air filters by pulling the latches upward. 1 2 Air filters prevent dust from accumulating on the surface of the optical elements inside the projector.
49 Maintenance and Cleaning Disconnect the AC power cord before cleaning. When the projector is not in use, replace the lens cover. 1 3 2 Follow these steps to clean the projection lens. Cleaning the Pr ojector Cabinet Disconnect the AC power cord before cleaning.
50 Maintenance and Cleaning When the life of the projection lamp of this projector draws to an end, the LAMP REPLACE indicator lights yellow. If this indicator lights yellow, replace the lamp with a new one promptly. Follow these steps to replace the lamp.
51 at eac e a dCe a g Maintenance and Cleaning Be sure to reset the lamp replace counter after the lamp is replaced. When the lamp replace counter is reset, the LAMP REPLACE indicator stops lighting. Move the pointer to Lamp counter reset and then press the SET button.
52 Tr o u bleshooting Before calling your dealer or service center for assistance, check the items below once again. – Make sure you have properly connected the projector to peripheral equipment as described in "Connecting to a Computer" and “Connecting to Video Equipment” on page17-19.
