1 INTRODU CTION This is an IEEE802.11 b/g compliant 11 Mbps & 54 Mbps Ethern et W ireless Access Point. The W ireless Acces s Point is equip ped with t wo 10/100 M Auto- sensing Ethernet p orts for connecting to LAN and al so for cascading to nex t W ireless Access Point.

Usually, the bes t place for the Access Point is at the cent er of y our wireless network , with line of straight t o al l your wireless stat ions.
7 About the Operation Modes This dev ice prov ides four operati onal app lications with Access Poin t, B ridge, Client ( Ad-hoc) an d Cli ent ( Infrastructure) modes , whic h are mutuall y exclusive. This devic e is sh ipped with c onfiguration th at is f unctio nal right out of t he box.
8 Refer to the illustratio n belo w. This statio n (AP1 plus the connect ed com puter 1) can associate to another Access Point (AP2), and the n can ha ve th e Internet access if the other Acc ess Point (A P2) has th e Internet c onnection.
9 CONFIGUR ATION Login 1. Start your com puter. Co nnect an Ethern et cab le bet ween your com puter and the W ireless Acc ess Point. 2. Make sure your wired sta tion is set to the same subnet as the W ireless Access Poi nt, i.e. 192.16 8.1.25 4 3. Start your W EB browser.

11 SSID The SSID d ifferentiates one W LAN from another, therefore, a ll access points and all dev ices attem pting to connect t o a specif ic W LAN m ust use the sam e SSID. It is c ase- sensitive and m ust not exceed 32 characters . A device will not be per mitted to j oin the BSS unless it can pro vide the unique SSID.

28 Save/Reload S ettings This function en ables users to s ave t he curr ent c onfigu rations as a file (i.e. config.dat ) To load conf iguration f rom a file, enter the f ile nam e or click Browse… to f ind the f ile from your computer. Save Sett ings to File: Click SAVE.
29 Load S ettings From File: Click Brow se… if you want to load a pre- saved f ile, enter the f ile nam e with th e correc t path and t hen cli ck on Upload . O r click Browse… to se lect the f ile. Reset : C lick to restore the default conf iguration.
