AWS- 8248 Use r’s Man ual 12 2.3 Adding cards Remove the cov er of the wor k drawer by either removing the 10 scr ews that attach it or by slidi ng it out. Remove the screw that fi xes the card hold-do wn clamp, and remove the clamp. Slowly slide the card in an d carefully press it into the b ackplane socket.

Th at is, one floppy disk drive, o ne hard disk drive and one slim CD-ROM dri ve. If yo u wish, you can add an extra hard di sk driv e and an extra slim CD-ROM d rive above the po wer supp ly.

15 Chap ter 2 Syst em Set up 2.5 At taching cables Once you have added you r cards, drives and o ther equipment, con nect the display power ( see Fig. 2-6, and r eattach the cables on the rear panel (see Fig. 2 -7), yo u sho uld sw itch o n the A WS-8248 and con firm th at it works.
