13 65 1/75 1BD azur ENGLISH Analogue video connections HDMI connections The 65 1/75 1BD can output video in both fully digital (HDMI) and analogue (Composit e or Component) formats. If your T V set suppor ts HDMI then this is the preferred f ormat (see next section).

The secondar y HDMI output of the 651/75 1BD can be used either to allow connection of two displa y devices or to allow separate HDMI audio and video outputs as shown in the two e xamples below . Repeatedly pressing the Audio/Subtitle button cycles through all av ailable audio soundtracks on the disc.

Playing music files T o pl ay dig ital musi c files st ored on an opt ical disc o r ext ernal drive, sel ect " Music " from the Home Menu. A file browser will appear to assist you in navigating the files and f olders. The first step is t o select the " Data Disc " or e xternal device that contains the music files.

This item contains a sub-menu of the Video Setup menu allowing configuration of some video settings that are unique to the HDMI outputs. T o enter this sub-menu, select “HDMI Options” from the Video Setup menu.

28 Setup menu continued 6. HDCD Decoding T o set the audio decoding option for HDCD (High Definition Compatible Digital) discs. The options are: On – HD CD is decoded by the 65 1/75 1BD. For HDCD di scs, th is gives expanded dynamic range and impr ov ed audio resolution.

30 Setup menu continued Speaker Configuration (7 . 1 channel analogue audio output only) The following settings determine how the 651/75 1BD’s internal surround-sound decoder operates. They do not affect audio transmitted over HDMI or S/P DIF/T OSLINK.

This delay is used to compensate for the audio propagation time dif ference caused by the placement of speakers of different distances from the list ening position.

This operation is only available when the playback is com pletely stopped or when there is no disc loaded.
