2 2 Installation & Configura tion Using W eb Interface Step Installing the Wir eless Ethernet Conv e r t er - g Install the Ethernet Conv er ter to a computer by connecting one end of the included Ethernet cable into an a vailable Ethernet por t on your computer and the other end to the Ethernet Conv er ter .
3 Select Use the f ollowing IP Ad dr e s s. Enter 1.1.1.2 into the IP Ad dr ess field. Enter 255.255.255.0 into the Subnet Mask field. Click OK . Click OK again under the Netw ork Pr operties window . OSX - Open your System Pref erences and select Netw ork .
4 Step Connecting the Wireless Ethernet Conv er t e r to the AirStation. Open your W eb browser 4.5 or later and enter 1.1.1.1 into the URL field. The login screen will open. Enter root as the User ID . Lea ve the passw ord field blank. Click OK The main configuration screen of the 54Mbps Ethernet Conv er ter will open.
5 The Ethernet Conv erter will scan for a vailable wireless netw orks. Select the SSID (ESS-ID) of the AirStation or other Wi-Fi access point to associate with and click select. If encr yption is used, select the Encr y p t button and select ASCII or HEX and enter the WEP passw ord.
6 Step Reset the TC P /IP settings of y our computer Open your netw ork properties. Connect Using should be set to use your active Ethernet NIC Car d. Select Internet Pr otocol (TCP/IP). Click Proper ties Select Obtain and IP A dd r e ss Automaticall y .
7 OSX - Open y our System Pref erences and select Netw ork . Set Show to Built-in Ethernet Set Configure to Using DHCP Click Appl y No w . OS9 - Open your Contr ol Panels and select TCP/IP . Set Connect via to Built-in Ethernet Set Configur e to Using DHCP Ser v er Close and Sav e .
